This song is like an anthem for all their pain, and it breaks my heart and makes me want to do everything I can to do better than the ones who've stolen God from them

Me and my husband were sitting casually and I said, “hey husband, did you know Emery has a new album?” So there we were listening and i comment on how Im so proud to say Emery is still one of my favorite bands and how awesome they are after all these years. He looks over slowly and says “ ah yes, you support dads playing music because you dont have one.” First of all ooof, but also, Dadcore Basement Rock could be a new kind of genre label. Either way, these new songs were incredible and you guys are still amazing as always Thank you for sharing and keeping Emery alive! Your music gave me fragments of hope and kept me alive through my teenage years

ISSWS is one of the best albums in their catalog! 🙌 But honestly, I feel that way about WDWWW, too! 🤯 For me personally, the lyrics on this particular track spoke to some old scars and helped salve some spots I didn't realize still stung for me. I think that's why I'm holding it in such high regard against the incredible efforts Emery has released in the past and continues to create in the present. 😎🤘

Emery was my first concert over a decade ago I was only a mere 15 year old redheaded lad, awestricken. They were my first introduction to what a mosh pit was. First time I ever saw a guitar spin and a keyboard go flying up 10-20 feet in the air and then being caught in time to resume playing... My Mind was blown. And this track takes me directly to that core memory of mine.

Not only has emery been on my radar since walls hit the pirating scene- they have felt like parasocial brothers... if psychics ARE real... Emery consistently writes lyrics that seem to literally express my own inner thoughts. Very few bands have I ever vibed with so tightly... and this album... OMG. MaDTV GYM CLASS COACH "WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL!" I have been listening to this album more obsessively than I have to any album in over a decade. The joy this album makes me feel seems so deep i don't have the words to express my true emotions towards... its kind of like how .. as a kid you could watch the same movie obsessively and you didnt care... i will listen to to Rub Some Dirt On It twice in a day if I want to!!! There will be a word for that specific idea eventually ... but for now, Thx again to everyone... all of it... and all of you... thanks to all behind Emery ❤😅
