nice post. Cut my teeth @ 17 on Emeryvilles. Ross cam steering just like power steering plus that noted exhaust pop from manifold exiting by #6 hole. After some winters the pistons to raise cab would come up through floor. Trucks in those days always had character.

I’m more of a fan of Ford’s 2-story Falcons of the same vintage of the Emeryville. But the Emeryville is starting to grow on me

Back in the day, 1964, I worked at a truck stop. We had two drivers that regularly stopped in. Big Sonny and Little Sonny. Big Sonny could wash the windshield on the Emeryville while standing flat on the ground.

My dad had me drive our farms '61 Emeryville. And drive it a fair distance sometimes. I was 16 years old. Looking back he took some faith (chances) in me. Myself I never thought why not? He said to do it so I did. It was a slowww truck.

Wow, first big truck I ever drove was an Emeryville day cab, never heard them called that, we called them flatcabs, Never went on the road with one, I worked at a terminal setting up and breaking up triples. Who does the song, that's a great song.

Had to cover those grilles in the winter,, otherwise they'd find you frozen to the seat when you didn't show for your delivery. LOL

Great job as always Terry! I just looked this for the first time with my dad the other night, and at 2:04 I paused it and at the same time we said that's the truck! He has that very truck in his barn right now under restoration! Where did you get that picture? Thanks as always!

My dad used to own one of those but I don't remember what year it was it was one of the most beautiful ugly trucks he ever owned besides the diamond rio. Unfortunately the Emeryville and him get ran over by a train in Midland Pennsylvania at a steel mill thank God there were no seat belts in the old trucks. It's spinning out

Does anyone know what happened to that Emeryville at 3:03? Almost bought that truck until I sent some boys by to look at it and it was terribly rusted-out.

Pretty dang nice... what is the song? I was hoping to see my dad's old Emeryville in there... Charles D. Care trucking, if anyone knows who bought it at the auction... anyway, takes me back. Some real beauties in there.
