I have just got my nerve conduction study done.. It's slightly painful but very much tolerable.. I'm 56 yrs old and diabetic since 9 yrs.. And from the past 3 months I have started feeling stabbing, pricking and electric shock like sudden pain in my feet mainly, sometimes in my hands and sometimes in some parts of the body.. So my neurologist suggested me to get this test done.. Now I'm waiting for my results..!! 🤞🤞🤞

@@simi4084 that's OK, I don't mind telling..! 😊 The result of my NCT is not serious though.. The neurologist said, nothing is alarming.. But we still can't assess that perfectly, bcoz the machine is a machine after all.. It can't tell how to what extent our nerves got damaged.. Bcoz the machine can indicate only about big nerves.. It can not assess the damage of small nerves.. And when I Googled and read.. They say, *It is possible to have a normal test result even if a person has nerve damage* So I have decided one thing.. That I'm maintain a very strict healthy life style to have a normal blood sugar level.. So that I can live a better life with pain free limbs .. 😊 Coz I have suffered a lot in the last 6 months..

I'm female 24 years old 147 lbs 5.6 feet.. I went to take ncv test because only 1 of my hands was having burning sensations when used alot... So i did NCV test on both hands, one was fine before test but after the test it got bad and it started burning me that very same night and i feel my fingertips getting numb and heavy. , they used 50 mili amps on me with pulse width 100... and it was so painful and my hand jumped alot.. Is there a chance ncv tests are harmful?
