Which is not a good thing - that means their balm and cleanser don't work, they don't clean the skin properly. I don't even support clinique, not being cruelty-free but love her

Actually the cleansing balm does work really well! I always use it wearing a full face of makeup (with waterproof mascara etc.) and I‘m never left with any residue. She just didn‘t work it in properly and washed it off too quick I guess. Just thought I‘d share:)

It’s just that it contains too much fragrance that’s all. :( EDIT: I’ll correct myself. products say they are fragrance free, but still contains denatured alcohol witch hazel & other skin sensitizers which have not proved well for my own skin.)

It’s actually tricky because yes it says it’s fragrance free but it contains denatured alcohol, some products contain methanol which is so bad for your skin, and witch hazel too. It’s all about the fine print or the Inci list when it comes to products. Just like any brand it has its hits & misses but Clinique is notoriously known to be poorly formulated & not suitable for skin of color, there’s a reason why it’s getting so much hate even in this comments section. If you don’t believe me feel free to look up Hyram’s or Dr Vanita’s review of Clinique too. I used to use some of their products & my skin became extremely textured. So this is just my experience.
