Sacred Edge does a fine job of chaining as well though. And if overdrives are truely less "safe" to use, wouldn't it require more skill to use them effectively? The only really advantage to RC that I see is to go on the defensive, since damage starts to cap out after so many hits(usually, especially with Ky).

Technically they're the same person. Order-Sol is from the past (I.E back during his brief stint as a member of the Sacred Oder of Holy Knights) in case it isn't obvious, his attitude has not changed.

But some overdrives shouldn't be underused? Ino's air overdrive, for example, or Eddie's ground overdrive. Surely there'd be moments when no better move would serve.

It's not like pros never use overdrives. May and venom players tend to use them a lot. And they can make decent wakeup options, if you predict your opponents oki well enough.

It's consider "newbish" to use overdrives. You're more respected if you use roman cancels. I personally like the overdrives for the invulnerability frames, wait for them to throw an attack and counter.

See what I mean? "Skilled players" don't use overdrives. Also, you would have to be blind, deaf, and born without hands to actually get hit with an IK. Maybe in the original guilty gear it worked, but not anymore.

Buppa totally plays Ky like his Hazama. Ky: j.236S/HS -> FRC -> Airdash. Hazama: j.4/6D~D And Kaqn plays his Order-Sol like he plays his Ragna HOS: 41236D Ragna: 2D Hmm... Maybe it should be the other way around? xDDDD

Uh no, sorry. To be honest, overdrives are very risky and unsafe and can leave a good player open to a less risky and most likely better combo that does more damage. So why would you wanna do that if you can get killed? It's like people who bitch about the bounce system in T5. If I am gonna do more damage safely by juggling you, why would I even wanna try to land an unblockable move that is slow and would result in me getting killed if it doesn't connect?
