French are lazy and start to work at 10 am ??? Wtf did the producer even went to our subway at 7 am ? Why some people still think we are allergic to our shower ? It was like three century ago that the people thought that water gave us diseases. And apparently we cheat on our partner and are impolite for no reasons, excuse me ? C’est quoi cette manie de vouloir montrer que « the American way of thinking is the best » ? Si seulement ils savaient que les américains ne sont certainement pas vu comme des intellectuels partout dans le monde... Les français sont râleurs mais ça se comprend.

@@bartmann81 Right..... I'm sure you know what makes a brilliant actor. I'm sure you know it isn't dictated by the roles they land, but how well they embody that character and bring them to life. Though we should do well to remember that an actor is only going to do well with the writing and direction they've been given. It's why you see actors and writers be at odds about the characters so many times. The worlds best actor can not act well if the character they are portraying is poorly written. Being able to emote on cue does not automatically make you a good actor. But my main point was, you sound like Brian Griffin.
@Mini-Toast_
@Mini-Toast_ 3 жыл бұрын
@@leechlover4life Yeah? What makes her terrible? What makes a a good actor? See I would have thought it would require looking at the script and listening to the writers talk about the character they created, and ONLY then judging to see if the actor did a poor job bringing that character to life. Why would writers and directors constantly put their faith in her? Does her Daddy own the studio? I mean her Dad is Phil Collins, so probably not. Please do tell. That's true that it doesn't really have to do with sexism. My mother tounge has the same thing. But let me tell you, I still find it frustrating as hell lmao. I'm not saying "change the language" in whatever way. It's more like "I still think it's kinda nasty for people who don't wanna conform" generally speaking. The neutral gender can only exist for plural and for objects or other living beings here, never for people. So imagine how non-binary people feel here. Idk, it's a true statement, sure. But I wouldn't pride myself on the fact that my language basically genders everything tbh. Also gender norms, classifications of what's more "feminine" and what's more "masculine" as a word, and object, an activity etc. have existed even way before our languages did. I find gender norms and unnecessarily gendered stuff irritating much like other people do. I just don't really like things that unconditionally remind me of that.

In French most words that end with a vowel are usually female and wordt that end with a consonant are usually male. Many exceptions off course like le musée, le livre and la mer, but when I was learning French at school, when in doubt this was always your best chance to get it right. Anyway, that is why it's le vagin (and to cancel that one out the beard is la barbe) In the series deranged point of view, pointing out this minor linguistic oddity is somehow a bold and admirable feminist statement. Well excuse me for pointing out there are women all over the word fighting every day, making great personal sacrifices, fot social, political and economic justice for women. That is feminism. This show by Darren Starr pales in comparison to Sex and the City...the characters of Samantha and Carrie made Sex and the City... but the lead in this show is like Charlotte just more frigid and uptight... imagine if Charlotte was the only lead actress in Sex and the City...and was really boring and childish...you can just watch the lead do selfie hashtags for so long before you want to take the phone and throw it in the Seine River... and unlike Sex and the City there are no meaningful emotional interconnections between any of the characters... even her boyfriend breakup was emotionless...this show had such potential with a strong lead but this girl just isn’t ... the witchy manager is simply unappealing ... but the men on the show are Sex and the City worthy....at least they got them right... too bad we never see them having any sex!!!! This is a PG version of Sex and the City that leaves you not wanting more

This show was absolutely terrible. The portrayal of parisians as american praising brown-nosers was inaccurate and and quite frankly, arrogant. The only black character used as a token character, and as another person was in awe of emily's "american thinking". Mindy, a KOREAN actress cast as a chinese character (which already shows how little the writers care), was just used as a voice to hurl insults and slander china and its people. The whole series was just another series made to glorify america, and basically just a vanity project. It is an absolute disgrace that this is being renewed for a second season and I have no intention of watching it.

Right let’s think it that way : a french actress can’t act a German character, an American actor can’t act a Canadian, a Nigerian can’t act a South African. That’s to different.

if I may, still with being not French, so it's just a guess... It doesn't sound like something a French person would say, much more like some weird American humor. Because around here when we make up theories about language we don't jump into nonsensical "philosophy", we usually think about the origin of the word and its parts, synonyms, things associated with the form and meaning. Because we study those things in school extensively. We do.
