My sister was on a first date with a man who believed she owed him sex because he paid for dinner and when she said no he got aggressive. So she became compliant and waited for him to drop his pants then grabbed his balls and twisted as hard as she could, got out of the car and ran. My father is a cop so as soon as she was safe she called him. Dad found the Guy crying in his car and arrested him but he had to go to the hospital for a ruptured testicle. Daddy didn't raise push overs. ALWAYS go for the balls girls, even if you have to play possum and wait for a clear shot! 😉

Surprise is one of your best weapons as that’s what an attacker is using, betting that they’ll get and keep the upper hand. I was once showering in a women’s locker (in the open showers because I was alone and didn’t want someone to corner me in a stall). Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that a man in a sky mask was frozen in place (he was approaching me slowly). Instead of letting on that I saw him, which instantly enraged me. I pretended I didn’t see him and turned around and waited a beat, giving him time to advance. Just long enough for him to be outside my reach but probably within his. Then, I whipped around and lunged for him. Scared him to death and he took off with me running buck naked behind him. He didn’t know I couldn’t whip his ass but I guess my attitude said I could. Use your anger wisely.

Little known fact: a kick to the balls is not an instant win. There is still a split second where a man can and will knock you out. If he doesn't, he was never interested in hurting you. The defense technique is to run away as soon as you deliver the kick because a man can't run for a good bit after that, but his grip will never lose strength. He can still strangle you or subdue you if you stay within reach.

As A Martial Artist, I never acknowledged Krav Maga as A Martial Art nor Self Defense. It's most likely just Israeli-Propaganda, that's all. Anyone who study or practice Krav Maga and say that it's A Martial Art clearly inexperienced in any (other) Martial Art at all. So does for MMA, it's not a Martial Art at all nor the mix, it's just A Combat-Sport.
@dirkgibbens3776 ай бұрын
Totally agree. Always thought it was (and is) a joke calling it “mixed martial arts.” Just call it what it is… cage fighting. There’s no “art” involved
@reygoldknight84456 ай бұрын
@@dirkgibbens377 I dont mean it that way, but I couldn't disagree, especially these days where some MMA Fighters challenging TMA (traditional martial arts). If I'm the one who challanged, then I'll no play with their rules. I'll use my medieval weapons because I'm A TMA practicioneer, not MMA fighter. Can they handle me? Because there is no rule in real fight. That's why TMAs born - it's for the real fight and war, not a caged fight.
@n02138626 ай бұрын
You’ve made a great point here which I hadn’t given thought to before! TMA is always derided in forums under the guise of, ‘there are no rules in a street fight’. True. If there are no rules, then a TMArtist can equally use their nunchucks, sword or a casual 6ft flagpole just laying around, right? Could the years of weaponry training best a caged grappler? 🤔
@reygoldknight84456 ай бұрын
@@n0213862 About 13 years ago I once taught one of the AMA (ancient martial art) to my pupils for couple of years. That AMA I taught to them is even older than Shaolin Kungfu, it's called "Kanuragan" (already claimmed extinct although it's not yet). At that time some of my pupils asked me about: can be one day, they beat some professional fighters at once in a fight, like 10 fighters at once! I don't know why they asked me that, maybe because too much watching kungfu movies. I answer them that it mean to dig your own grave! They ask again "what if just one fighter, can we win it?". And I answer "even if you did, then you'll badly injured, and more likely permanent ones!". One by one my pupils left me, some because they tought they can't withstand the harsh training anymore. But some I think because of my honest answer - about they'll still lose in a fight to professional fighters (like kick/boxer or mma fighters), even they train Kanuragan for whole life! Only 3 pupils left that keep study and practice Kanuragan with me. And finally one of them stopped too, because she's getting married. And the other one because of real life problems, especially financial - he got a job and stopped training too due lack of time to keep on. The very last pupil (which is my best friend), finally asked me for what is it the purpose of keep training if that still can't makes us win a single fight, to even just one professional fighter. I gave him a long speech about the purpose of Martial Art (especially Kanuragan), along with the history, philosophy and even the mythology behind it. He was very satisfied and grateful for my answer, and I think it does enlightened him, so he decide to keep study and practice Kanuragan for his whole life with me. I'll spare the long speech to you, however, I explain it to him that the real and actual fight is (supposed to be) accident! While in tournament or mma fight is not an accident but intentional ones, and even scheduled! Not to mention the rules, but tournament is a game already - there is score! As one of the results, there is "faint-faint" and "jab-jab" or something elses that works as trickery to fool the opponent. The genuine TMA practicioneers aren't adapted to it, and leave alone the AMA guy like me who never have dojo and train always in the wilderness. No flat ground! No dumbells! No sandbag and skipping rope! There is word "Martial" in Martial Art. Martial means "Military" but for Warriors and Knights in the past. And "Art" itself mean "Skillset" - including mindset, mental, ethic codes and honor (or todays we name it as professionality). While most people todays just relate "Art" to beauty only, which is incorrect, far from the actual meaning. So "MARTIAL-ART" actually means "MILITARY-SKILLSET". It's not a game, not a trickery either! It only applied to real (accidental) fight, and purposed to war in order to protect the civilization (kingdom or empire) in the past. So now you can imagine, what if in real life situation, an MMA fighter come to challange me, by also provoking me that my Kanuragan is a false or weak Martial Art - what he gonna do? Try to fool me with his faint-jab or other cheap trickeries? By the time he do that, my poisonous kris already pierce his pancrea through his ribs! No more diabetics, the death will be instant in seconds. Law problems? I was provoked in my own defense, and that was a reflex, hah! Sounds unfair? Yeah, infusing body with synthetic biological weapon called as "Steroid" is unfair either. That's why all TMA guys lost in a fight to MMA guys, because those guys use biological weapon to fight unarmed TMA man! So using my medieval poisonous weapon is considered fair in term of "Martial", especally against a man who use biologial weapon too, called as steroid. Plus, again, there is no rule in real (accidental) fight - anything can (make) happen. End of story, my very last yet my most loyal pupil died, in motorbike crash accident. I never teach Kanuragan ever since, not even I do practice it up until now. And by the rant, word "Kanuragan" comes from Sanskrit, it literally mean "Dragonology". It's Origine from Nusantara, An Advanced Ancient Civilization in the past. (Maybe) Kanuragan is the oldest Martial Art, claimmed to be extinct after it finally splitted by becaming two Martial Arts, known as "Wudhang" (Kungfu Shaolin) and "Kalaripayattu" (India Martial Art). . Hope this rant helps you a bit, as additional persepective to see the world of Martial Art. .

Grab, twist and pull as hard as you can, like you're trying to rip them off. That's what my grandfather taught me when I started going to school by myself. I've never had need of trying it but am fairly sure it's effective. Passed it on to my kids too and my husband went white at the idea. My granddaughters are now getting the same lessons. The other tip is to have a pen on your jacket or blouse so you can stick it into an ear or eye. Neither will kill someone but you get time to get away

Just FYI: It takes YEARS to become proficient in Krav Maga - you’re retraining muscle memory (as somehow we’ve devolved to make ourselves more vulnerable during an attack). Unless you’ve trained for at least five years, an actual weapon is your best bet to defend yourself. Otherwise, the element of surprise will get you - that’s why “surprise attack” drills are so common in Krav Maga.
@dianasmith8366 ай бұрын
Totally agree. I've been practicing for 2 yrs and I still get surprised when out in the real world and not in a place where I'm training and expecting to get attacked. But the great news is after losing the first couple of seconds, then we are trained to go hard, fast and aggressive until they are no longer a threat. But you are completely correct in my opinion.
