I am Hindu but been influenced by Imam Hussain (AS). At a time when I was feeling overwhelmed by problems and felt suicidal, I was given refuge in a Shia mosque I decided to pray in, I was blessed by Allah(SWT)'s mercy. I am also thankful that because of the war cry 'Labbaik Ya Hussain' I met by best friend who's closer than a brother now from Lebanon in a video game we both played.

Just to have the privilege to visit the Holy shrines is an enormous blessing in the light of history where during the Bani Ummayed and Bani Abbasi rules every imaginable cruelty was enforced to stop the pilgrims performing this sacred pilgrimage From jail and torture to having limbs amputation and since that did not deter the lovers if a mother had 2 children 1 was to given up who was slaughtered there and then in front of the mother so the rest could perform their Ziarate Our mothers offered without flinching The reasons vary from love obligations to vows fulliments and in your case journalistic inquisitive reporting Nothing is without reason everyone comes back with a change in their soul and spirit As I am sure you have felt it

The belief of Ahlus Sunnah in regards to Yazid bin Muawiyyah is that we don’t love him nor hate/curse him. He did a lot of evil without any doubt. He was not a companion of the prophet (peace be upon him). He remained and died as a Muslim. He caused some major fitna in medinah leading to Muslims being killed. He also spread Islam to Cyprus. He did both good and evil. However, he did NOT kill Hussain رضي الله عنه just to make it clear. Yazid was in Syria whilst Hussain was in Karbala. Yazid and Hussain were related as cousins since the prophet (peace be upon him) was Muawiyyah رضي الله عنه brother in law. The people who killed Hussain were acting upon their own commands. Yazid only sent a brigade to Karbala where Hussain was to come to an agreement. Yazeed spread Islam to Cyprus, what did the Shi’a ever do for this ummah excerpt betray us like the Fatimids in Egypt and Al-Alkam from the Shi’a who allowed the mongols to conquer Baghdad. Yazeed is better than you, at least he never committed major shirk, his tawheed was purer than yours Ya Khabeeth.

This painful memory of the world and humanity will soon be found in the Islamic New Year 1442 and Day 10 (Muharram) is the first month in the Islamic calendar and marks the day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and will be held from day 1 to day 10 of it the sad rites and ceremonies of martyrdom. It will be established in most of the cities of Iraq, especially the province of Najaf and its environs, and the adjacent city of Kufa to Najaf, about 10 km away, where the Great Mosque is located. May God bless you.. digging deeper into the cause of arbaeen hope fully by now you must have been knowing why we cry.. its not 1400yrs when this event took place for us this event takes place every day in our hearts and thats how we keep ourselves alive and detached from sins a much as possible.. we see karbala everywhere when we see some one needs help. We see kabala everywhere when some one dies.
