The trouble with Oh Brian ,is he has no idea of history , if you compare some of the events and action of a hundred years ago things are pretty tame in our time . The media of which he is part loves to exaggerate events , Britain has always had a problem with countries on the continent had he any knowledge of history he would know we get on well with Europe in our times . His whole act ,which is bs is to divert our attention from the immigration crisis ,and it is failing . Brexit was caused by immigration , you cram too many people of different cultural backgrounds together and the result is misery for all concerned ,not that he would know living in his select little English village , and I will put money on his brats attending private education Hypocrite in the first degree

A huge thank you to both of you for a truly excellent, frank and informative review of the dire state we are in now, aided and abetted by the pernicious media that you both contest and fight against. Truth to power indeed, and thanks to honest journalists like you, and a very few others, we can still see the truth behind the power - in all of its putrid, technicolour vileness. BRAVO Emily and James, for what you do for us, and our sanity! 👏 👏 👏 👏

O’Brien should have written a chapter on himself regarding self indulgent, self publicising, ranting polemicists who tell 1/8 truths & make irrational wild assertions. Please be aware of the difference between evidence & proof. Eg. one quotation can easily misrepresent someone. It’s uncanny how most of the criticisms of the 10 can generally be applied to O’Brien himself. And indeed Maitliss come to that!

Idea: can we all buy Jame's book for Xmas, give it to our parents to read to make them think outside what they're told by the British Press & the conservative party, make it no 1 on the book list for Xmas & longer term. Anyway we can get James further well known, raising his profile more with the British people, a bit like Martin Lewis has with Money Saving Expert? It seems to me James is as important right now to level the balance of press like Martin Lewis is to the cost of living crisis and financial advice to normal people, not the rich ...

the only upside to tory's despicable attacks on democracy and great swathes of the population is witnessing the scales finally fall from folk's eyes as a result . 2010 - present day tory revealed to all the truly sickening colours that many believe have run through its veins since the 80s.

As a latecomer to the political debate its encouraging to here that some people are able to hold these ner do wells to account. Politicians generally in this day and age acknowledge that political office is a short term step to greater rewards outside of politics.....i truely believe that now......and i think ots across the whole political sphere. I will be buying james book and anticipating the various disclosures.

The BBC needs more intelligent, long form, conversations that HONESTLY reflect people’s concerns. You can’t just tell people that they’re just WRONG to feel what they feel & insult them! When people explain their problems with immigration, for example, there are points that the majority agree with ; Numbers to high because we haven’t the housing or infrastructure investment to keep-up. Politicians say, “We hear you”. Next year the numbers increase AND we build less houses & don’t build all the new schools, hospitals, doctors etc. What do people do?

Worst part is by his own words, I'd probably not have liked James even 10 years ago, having admitted he was quite the troublemaker, ignorant and enjoyment of chaos. I'm glad I only found him about 3 years ago because even as a Canadian, his words and personality are quite enjoyable and refreshing in today's society.

@@jeffsimon9594 It is very easy to be a "socialist" when you have money. If you do not have money you are too busy trying to make ends meet to even understand what is going on around you. Pubs the working mans social club are closing by the hundred every week. My local after over 100 years is closing in a dormitory village where a new house costs between £300K+ to £800K+.

@@scottyfive4319 That has a lot more to do with large corporations such as Tesco selling alcohol far cheaper and outside of licensing hours to a younger generation who can no longer afford nights out than rocketing houses prices.
