To be fair, Emily DIDN'T come out, she was outted. She told exactly one person the truth, and received abundant love and support ever since. Paige's case is very different. Paige's father had been portrayed as having a personal vendetta, and leading a crusade against homosexuality. He is not Emily's dad. He's not Emily's mom. Her deal was that she had planned Emily's life a certain way and she had just lost her dream. It's not the same thing. Paige was far more likely to be rejected by her family.

I've seen these scenes so many times but only just put two and two together and I'm pretty sure Emily got to second base during the picnic scene. Look at how the buttons on Paige's sweater are undone at the top and bottom. Whole thing is held together by one button. Who does that? Nah, she must've done them all up until Emily started undoing them to get better access to her breasts. Emily's smooth as fuck!

I find the first season so far the best and I dont think it will Change. But what suprised me that Emily never mentioned that she dated Paige to Maya or did I miss that part? She was just meeting Em and Alison had not only been her best friend, who died, but Emily had just admitted to Alison being the first girl that she ever put her lips on. She didn't want to put her in an awkward place where she feels like she has to apologize or something by telling her her whole life story, about how that girl she kissed who used to be her friend before she died, had bullied her to the brink of suicide, and caused her to self harm and hate herself and be ashamed of her sexuality and hide out in the closet. I honestly think it's very mature and on point that she didn't bring it up cause then it's like she's using it as an excuse or blaming Emily in some way and makes her seem petty when in reality she was just ecstatic to finally be able to go out in public with Emily, on a date for the very first time and to be in her presence and listen to her talk and look at her. Look at her, you can see that she was melting. She didn't spare a thought for Alison when she was with Em.
