I'm a coach driver here in the UK and usually have the radio tuned to BBC radio 2 in the evenings. This song came on and all the passengers close to the front went quiet to listen to this song as it played and it got some very good comments. I remembered some lyrics and thats how I found it here. Beautiful song.

I love the song, the harmonies, the shots of the gorgeous studio, the fact that the instrument being strummed is a cello... this is amazing!

I'm sure glad that non-mainstream music keeps growing. People like you continue growing the legacy of excellent music, it inspires some measure of hope for the industry.

You're one of the most creative and insightful voices in country music. You deserve to be a superstar, though the mainstream doesn't deserve you.

This song came up in my Spotify Release Radar and it led me to this video. I've shared it with all of my friends and included the note that I've fallen into a deep and abiding love with Emily's voice.

I loved this song so much that I bought Emily Scott Robinson's #AmericanSiren vinyl record album and I use this song, "Old Gods", in particular when testing the dynamics of newly-acquired headphones and speakers. Bravo, Emily, Alexa, and Abigail! :)

Carry my prayers on the ocean Carry my prayers on the sea And if you are meant to be mine, love One day you'll come home to me But are you a trick of the memory That the old gods are playing on me Carry my prayers on the ocean Carry my prayers on the sea Your blue eyes are there when I close mine I see your sweet face when I dream My heart is all ragged in pieces Bleeding at every seam And are you a trick of the memory That the old gods are playing on me Carry my prayers on the ocean Carry my prayers on the sea I'm down on my knees at a crossing Wondering which way to go But all roads are dark through the valley And I'll learn to walk them alone And are you a trick of the memory That the old gods are playing on me Carry my prayers on the ocean Carry my prayers on the sea No wine and no song can soothe me I'm pierced by the arrows of pain I'll lay in the grass by the mountain And summon the wind and the rain And are you a trick of the memory That the old gods are playing on me Carry my prayers on the ocean Carry my prayers on the sea Carry my prayers on the ocean Carry my prayers on the sea

Heard Brad K. play her song Run on Folk Alley today and found myself searching the playlist for the artist's name... and now I find myself searching through so much of her stuff. I am at one of life's big crossroads and this song... although it has no similarity to my crossroad... just seems to whisper letting go and letting God... and I needed to hear it tonight. I wish FA had Brad on 24/7 so that I might not have taken so long to find her music. May He/She/It continue to bless her... .. .

Such grace! Thank you for such a master piece of beautiful music! In one of my favorite cities as well! I love Asheville and it's artsy soul with the old buildings. I could only imagine this being played right there in that room with the soul of Asheville everywhere or this song echoing through the halls of the Biltmore.

I heard you this morning on Jon Colcord's bluegrass radio show Music for the Mountain. Wonderful. He aired one of your songs, and 2 tribute songs for Dan Fogelberg and Mike Nesmith. Oddly none of the songs are on the website's weekly mp3 this week, or the last 2 weeks.
