"Semicolon" is a song about struggling with (yet surviving) Bipolar Disorder. This video is dedicated to every person out there who has faced their own mental monsters - and to those who's lives ended because of them. When I saw this video and heard this masterpeace, I was really really positively surprised. You know I love all your music, which helped me through years, which helped me to survive through worst live periods... I'm so sorry I had some problems and life-changing happenings for the last 2 years or so and as a consequence I couldn't support you and your band so much. I have a semicolon tattoo on my eye. Kinda like a tear drop you’d see on an ex con, I lost 4 close friends on 2015 and I’ve survived suicide twice myself. I’ve struggled with mental health my whole life. Recently I stopped drinking and doing drugs and have been clean for three years. I also stopped smoking a month ago. I’ll be 40 in two more years and I’m taking the steps necessary to be completely changed as a person by my 40th birthday so I can set an example for my daughter who’ll be 11 when I’m 40. I see that tattoo every morning when I look in the mirror, it reminds me of how hard it is to deal with the death of a loved one, how I’ve survived attempts myself and reminds me that there’s better things to look forward to and that ending your life won’t make it better all it does is passes the burden onto someone else. You think you’re depressed? Imagine how depressed your loved ones will be when you’re gone!

Well said, and congratulations on your sobriety! I can attest that losing someone you love to suicide is extremely traumatic and I'm still reeling from it a good year and a half later and likely will continue to do so for some time. I will never be without that pain as long as I live, just learning to cope with it. Please stick around and be a good example for your daughter- she loves you and needs you.

ioncewasmikey that’s the plan, she’s one of the reasons I’m not going anywhere. I missed out on a lot of my life because of drugs and alcohol. I’m here to make sure she doesn’t follow in my footsteps, it’s unfortunate that her mother chooses drugs rather than being a mother but I’ll be around for the good and the bad!

Here's to the police who run into life threatening danger for for people who hate them daily; military members, and ems who work ambulences and are often in serious danger. The people who fix people who got fucked up in hospitals daily and go home with the memories of what they saw at work. People doing thankless jobs for shit wages and often being shit on by those they do it for. Who often suffer in silence and do what no one else wants to; often getting shit on by adult brats daily meanwhile 🍻

Viking River Warrior I do, I have one, the doctor saved my life, the pills saved me life, fasts are dangerous for me because of my former struggles with an eating disorder. I care and I encourage everyone else to care. Humanity isn’t monolithic, thank fuck. Good luck to you.

Viking River Warrior, you are right about one thing- weakness is easy. Fighting depression and other mental illness is a real and harrowing struggle. I'm so sorry if in your experience the doctor could not help you. Please try to see another- maybe they'll be able to help. There are lots of options out there. If you're able to do some sort of counseling, I find that a very valuable tool as well. I hope you're doing OK and get help if you need it. 💜
