Hi! It's been a year since I posted anything, I hope you're still here. I have a lot to say and nothing at the same time, I'm still on my mental journey, trying to figure out if I like drawing (and living lol) at all. I’m really happy to see you upload. You are a huge inspiration to me, and I’ve been coming out of a two year deep depression that made art (my biggest form of self expression) insanely impossible for me. Judging by your comment on your mental journey, I can feel a similar path we’re on. I have been feeling better recently, drawing more, and it’s a delight to see you upload in spite of difficulties going on for you. feel you 😔 It was becoming difficult for me to draw. The more depressed I was the less energy I had to do anything but at the same time depression and anxiety were my fuel and need to draw and express feelings. Now when I'm feeling better I don't want to draw because my head is empty. Hence the question, were I enjoying drawing all this time at all or I did it because of anxiety and because I was conviced this is my lifework. It feels like some artists need to be broken to pursue art 🥲 I believe you can make art being happy but I don't know yet if it'll work for me. Also, maybe the problem is that I don't want to do anything at all these days not only drawing but that's a work for my therapist xd

I’m so glad you’re back! Your drawings and music taste are incredible. That being said, reading your comments - just give yourself time. I felt like I produced amazing art at the lowest point in my life, and now that I’ve actually started healing I’m struggling with inspiration a lot more. Feels a bit like when Zuko loses his anger in ATLA and with it the ability to produce an actual flame. So find your new source. Experiment. I think the question you’re probably really asking yourself is not if you like art but if you can live without it. If you can’t, you’ll find a way to move forward. I feel you on the struggle, especially of not wanting to really do anything, so I don’t mean to make it sound like the solution is easy. But I’ll say that my own artwork has come to surprise me (in a good way) when I push through and it’s a reminder that what I went through before was one side of the coin and now I’m just seeing the other. You stay strong on your journey, and I hope it gets a little easier for you here on out. Blessings 💛
