Ordered Stone Cold Fox because I was SO glad someone is finally paying attention to cool toned gals. I'm very, very fair with dark hair, now with lots of silver, and dark eyes. I am so tired of all the darn warm toned stuff. I really do look best in clear jewel tones, cool based taupe and browns, blacks, charcoal, and grey.

The bumps are either milia or clogged pores, and will most likely be from a moisturiser or foundation that's too heavy for your skin. I get milia around my eyes if I use an eye cream that's too rich, and clogged pores from base products that are too heavy or moisturizing. You can get rid of them by using an AHA or BHA nightly after cleansing.
@tonistark41694 жыл бұрын
Don’t you hate those? I get milia under my eyes and you can’t pop them or get rid of them but I HAVE noticed that using a retinol product under my eyes has helped get rid of them without drying out my eyes. If I use an eye moisturizer, I get the milia 10x’s worse! What I hate are the mask zits that are cystic in nature! If you pop them or try, then you have a big scar or mess otherwise you wait it out and hopefully in a few weeks, they just “go down” on their own. But it seems like they are always around, ready to pop up. Ohhh, the drama with beauty! 🙄😫.

Yes, that's what I was going to say... about the milia/clogged pores. I like Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer and Philosophy Purity which both contain salicylic acid, very gentle on my super sensitive skin.
@tonistark41694 жыл бұрын
@@karekausnicolli4890 Thank you for that tip. I have the Philosophy cleanser but am using Cetaphil cleanser for my face. I’m oily not sensitive but I feel I’m less oily since introducing the Retinol products. Those under eye milia used to be an embarrassment because no matter what or how much concealer you use, they are like BEACONS on my face 😂. Not so much since I use the retinol. At least something good came out of it. Lol. Happy Makeup Days ahead to you! 😁. 👍🏼

Good excuse to let my face “rest” from all the makeup! I do miss makeup though. Even as an RN working the night shift, I ALWAYS wore “glam” but appropriate for the job, makeup every night even if my patients slept. I FELT BETTER about myself wearing makeup and I think even performed better! When you feel good, you DO good. Now that I’m not working due to a disability, I got out of that habit. Dr Dray would probably recommend using a retinoid for those bumps! Adapalene gel works well for me, I use the CVS brand because it’s the cheapest on the market!
@4booky8314 жыл бұрын
That's very strong. She reccomends adapalene for those dealing with a lot of acne. Emily seems to have closed comedones or just acne that hasn't come to surface that can be easily fixed with BHA and AHA. A retinoid is unnecessary as her skin is already pretty clear and doesnt have too much texture. It'll just cause dryness and irritation.

i remove them (i hear all dermatologists screaming) - i clean my face really well and use an ultra fine pin which i have also sterilized with fire 🔥 i have swabbed with betadine and wham go in gently on the edge of the milia and press with a very fine surgical spatula. it works and gets rid of my milia. it’s like a small piece of fat but it doesn’t belong on my face. with proper hygiene and neosporin afterwards we have survived sans milia to fight another day👩🏿🚀

Yes, I get those little white bumps you were talking about. They aren't pimples so any kind of acne medication won't work on them. They are called milia and they normally appear around the eyes and mouth. They occur when keratin gets trapped in the top layers of the skin. They have to be lanced to get them out so I suggest going to a dermatologist. I have scraped one out before and it is painful. Sometimes they will go away on their own and sometimes they won't.

I believe they are called Milia…I get them on my forehead too. They are dead skin cells that get trapped under the skin. I exfoliate using cereve SA cleanser once a week and I use a retinol. Retinols are so varied hard to know which one works. Plus your skin has to do something to it making it useful hard to know which ones are best. I use over the counter Differin under moisturizer at night. It says it’s for acne but it’s also good for anti-aging and milia. Doesn’t over dry like Rx Retinoids. Build up to it over time. Makes skin look more youthful over time too.
@user-xv1kp6qf7h4 жыл бұрын
@EmilyNoel the bumps on the forehead are called called Pityrosporum folliculitis aka fungal acne! And if you get a antifungal cream or wash from your dermatologist and use it once a day for a few days it will clear right up. Sometimes you have to use it once a week or once a month to keep it away. Super common on the chest and back too. I’m a dermatology RN this is so common.

Hi Emily! I'm in esthetician... It could be a little bit of folliculitis or just acne cosmetica something in your products causing little clogged pores. I would recommend getting a facial and having extractions. Some things do need extracted. You could also try a glycolic or lactic acid. That will help remove any dead layers of skin that oil may be getting getting trapped under.

Hey Emily! I have the other roll of brushes on their site. I haven't used those but I think they're almost identical to this roll just different color. I wouldn't put them back in the roll until after cleaning the brushes. I like the flap for protection of the brushes bristles 🙂 They also have tons of individual brushes $5 each. I think they have a set collection price of most of these but not all of the individual ones. So, I ordered all of them individually minus a few that have not been in stock for months now...ugh, but I LOVE these brushes for makeup application so much! There's such a huge variety of these brushes but they're really great! After ordering each one individually even at $5 each the price does add up quickly but they do have a kabuki brush for foundation that's much better than the big fluffy brush you had to use out of the roll in this video. However, I've not been able to get ahold of the kabuki brush because it's stayed out of stock as well as a few others. I finally was able to grab the full face fan brush in stock 2 nights ago with my Stone Cold fox palette order. I LOVE their blush brush(F2) and really love the powder brush(F1) in these individual brushes...I ordered an extra with my palette because I love the powder brush so much! I think I only skipped on the eyebrow duo brush set...or did I 🤔 lol All I know is the rolls are nice and neat looking but I was impressed with their $5 individual brushes! I think they're probably better brushes than in the rolls, but being obsessed with brushes I want the SC fox brush roll too but you guessed it...out of stock 🙄 A few others that I think are really nice brushes out of the individuals are, perfect small fluff brush (highlighter brush) (F5), Concealer, eye primer, eyelid or even brow bone...very versatile dome tapered shape(E7), love the precision angled face brush(F10), even though it's a bit large for eyes it has the perfect angle to fit it crease of the eye for a good blending, also stiff enough for under eye concealer or contouring of nose, under lip and precise cheek contour, another unique but soft eye blending brush thats slightly angled and great for the eye crease is (F12). In all honesty, all of the blending and detail brushes are great too! I'm glad I grabbed these few months back before everything has been staying out of stock but I missed or they didn't have the kabuki and a few more when I ordered all of these. Buying them individually is pricier but I really like these out of all of their brushes. Since the matching kabuki brush wasn't available I got their gold kabuki brush which feels great for that foundation application. (Anyway, hope this helps you with the brushes (sorry if it's too long😁). Love your video's and your eye looks are always the very best💕

I get those. They are actually small cysts and the only way to remove them is to have a dr open them up. I have stuck a pin in mine and what comes out is a glob of thick white material much like what’s in a pimple. They are called milia. Exfoliation can help and they sometimes go away on their own, mine do. I started getting them in my mid 30’s and still get them now that I’m 47 but since I started using rosehip oil on my face morning and night the texture of my face has dramatically gotten better which included the milia. Tretinoin helps too with exfoliating to keep them minimized.

I think you're describing milia regarding the breakout. They're little cysts that have to be nicked in order to get the contents out

I had those bumps on my forehead too. Derma E Acne Serum works. I use twice a day. It’s amazing stuff. They come back when I stop using the product. Plus works if I ever get those time of mth break outs.

I am so happy to see you review these Colourpop products. I like them but skipped the brushes. Your nails are beautiful and the color is great.

Using an aha bha toner should help with those bumps. Which are most likely milia or clogged pores.

I have ordered some older palettes from colour pop. However I hear that some of oxnard california is closed down. Colourpop sent me a notice that whenever they send me a tracking # I will know whenever it will shipped.

Master’s Brush Cleaner from the art supply store works REALLY WELL for my denser makeup brushes.

I purchased the bare essential palette thinking I’d use it ALL the time.. but the staying power isn’t great on it. I just gave up on colourpop after that. I just bought the Natasha Denona Glam palette and it’s essentially this palette edited and stays on my eyes ALL DAY.

I love your channel Emily! You help me make better decisions about the makeup I am using and I often learn new techniques while watching. I am getting frustrated about makeup transfer while using a face mask. I am sure that I am not the only one with this issue I was wondering if you have considered doing a video on makeup that doesn’t transfer as easily - like long lasting lipsticks and how to set the face with the mask in consideration etc. That would be a very useful video right now.

Sounds like milia (think that's how it's spelled) exfoliating a lil more helps and then having them extracted during a facial is the best way. Still can't get facials here and I need one bad!

Hi Emily, love your videos! Those little white bumps under your skin are called milia. I have had many of them around my eyes. My dermatologist says the only way to remove them is with a tiny cut in the skin. Then they pop out like a tiny pearl. My derm actually has a special tool for them. It’s a small scalpel on one end and a comedone extractor on the other end. I have read on some eye cream descriptions that the product won’t case milia. I was wondering if spraying your brush with a finishing spray before dipping into the color would help it be bolder. Thanks for your wonderful personality! 🤗💕

Emily, thank you for the video🌷 Yes, I experienced little bumbs too, I think some ingredients in skincare or makeup may be the cause (some people have reaction like this on coconut oil or its derivatives in makeup products), or something is wrong with the nutrition..

Emily. The bumps you’re talking about are the same as mine. I was obsessed with rose water on my face and I think my skin was mad at it. I’ve been using neutrogena soothing clear turmeric mist. It always makes them go away!

I noticed these occasional zits on different places on my face. And it’s mainly after I wore a mask. I think our skin reacts to the masks. Not just by direct contact but also elsewhere, like the forehead

I get mine on Nov 5th as well as Flutter By. So excited. I get the bumps you're talking about. If they are milia you can't pop them. Mine only appear on my eyelids or under my eyes where my dark spots are. They go away on their own but come back.
