Hi Guys, I think I didn't really mention it - but the reason I had to go to hospital was because Jackson had his first meconium poo inside my womb before he was born. So we had to go and be monitored for the night. It was a shame to have to go after such an amazing home birth but at least I got to have him at home :-) xx

Meconium is very dangerous when it is inhaled by the baby,they pass mec when they are in distress.

Kairi did the same to me and all they did at the hospital at Tripler Army Medical Center. They took everything out cause of the C-section. They are worth the pain. They are our world, the reason we become our better selves, they are perfect in every way!

I love so many things about this video... but one thing that really stood out was how enthusiastic and lovely all the healthcare professionals seemed to be. Let's not forget they do this day in day out and anything will lose it's shine after a while but each person we saw interacting with you and Jackson was so happy, kind, enthusiastic and excited. I hope you and your baby are safe and well! A home birth is a great idea, you can set everything up exactly as you need it, you have space to listen to your body and get yourself comfortable, and as long as you have safety procedures in place, it makes complete sense.

Oh Emily! You're amazing. My first labor was over 48 hours of no interventions or pain killers, but unfortunately ended in a C section. I have been watching this video over and over and trying to soak up your calm and bad-ass woman power for the next one. I'd love to have a labor that resembles yours next time. I am really proud of mums who give home birth. It's very courageous. For me, i personally like to throw all the responsibilities to hospital and its staff, haha i just want to relax privately on bed without worrying of crowd. (i have 12 people in house + relatives live nearby)

I watched your video almost 3 years ago when I was waiting for my daughter to be born and it was so good to see you giving birth. I Just give birth 3 days a go .. after trying the real pain of labor i had my epidural at 6 cm I couldn't control my breathe the pain was too much for me 💔 i though it would be easy but I couldn't stand it 😢 .. you are such a hero to do this by your own without any pain relief.. wish the best for you and good luck ❤️❤️

I took the epidural on my fist delivery in 3months ill be having my 2nd baby and I won’t take it if I don’t need it. With my fist baby i was mind of pressured by the nurse to take it, and yes you get this back pain and they say it will never go away 😩 hurts really bad.

Sitting here at 41+2 and I really needed this. We are also planning a home birth so it was nice to see that happy endings can exist, even at this many weeks pregnant! The mental and emotional rewiring at the thought of induction vs. natural scares me so much and I have been having such a hard time these past few days. Hey girl! Great video! Brought tears to my eyes. I delivered my baby girl this past Thanksgiving and it took 2 1/2 hours start to finish. Active labor in the waterbirth tub! No medication. No time for it! Anyway. I watched your video before I had my daughter so I asked my nurse for the gas and they said "not during covid"... so I had to do it all by myself. So worth it.

I am currently 1 week overdue with my baby feeling like he is never coming out so watching Jackson be born actually relieved some of my tension and distress - I instantly burst into tears of joy. It makes me really look that much further to when my baby decides to finally join us. Thank you so much for sharing!

Aw thanks Charlie! Sorry to make you cry! We were all set for our placenta smoothie but because of the meconium I thought I'd better not as wasn't sure what was safe etc :-/ Xxx

I’ve watched this like 4-5 times now. My baby days are over but this gives me a bit of baby fever. Thank god that HE blessed me with three daughters. One day I’ll have a few grand babies to love on....and then give back!! Haha. I’ll get my baby fix and I can’t wait. Two daughters are married, one is in medical school but hope to marry her off someday and then hope to get babies babies babies!! Xoxo 😘

He is the cutest thing I have seen!!! so adorable. I cant wait to meet my little one. I love how he doses off as momma talks. Too cute
