Okay you may not need this information 😅 but JIC ! You can save up your dryer lint, save an egg carton and get a candle. Stuff the lint in the egg compartments, melt the wax and pour over, then cut the compartments apart! Decent burn time if you ask me! ❤️

Wow, the river is so clear. Brr, even this Alaska girl is not sleeping in 43 F weather. The hot springs are fun in the middle of winter when it's -20 F outside. You can freeze your hair in different shapes. Haha. Looks like you found it very relaxing. The food is fooding this episode. Happy you were able to see the aurora. Happy you were able to get your van fixed while in Fairbanks and had the part ordered ahead of time. Things run a little differently up here.

Thanks so much for all the great comments! Glad to know we’re not the only ones that think it’s getting a little too cold for camping. 😂 Things definitely run differently up here, but that’s also one of the reasons we love it! We’re in the Yukon now and saw an incredible Northern Lights show last night. Hoping for another one tomorrow. Did you see them where you are in AK? They were unreal!

Cold weather camping is my FAVORITE, as others have said a great are a great pair of comfy/warm Indian boots if you know you know. Another outstanding product that can go a long way to keep you warm look up Weatherwool, its not friendly on the wallet but the products are well worth it and keep you dry/WARM. Hope you all continue to enjoy and be safe taking it all in, and heres to your van finally getting them needed fixes.. And yes olives on tacos but sorry NO PINEAPPLE on our pizzas my Italian family would string us up lmao. And those natural light shows those to die for, and again if the three of you ever get to Southern California for some camping send up the smoke signals 😉

I was toying with the idea of heading up the mountain this weekend, despite the work to put the car back together just for one weekend. It's getting in the low 30s up there at night, but I know I'd be fine and there's no snow yet. Ya'll might have just pushed me over the edge lol Also, so happy for your video to pop up. My youtube tonight was all politics and hurricanes, and I was wishing I just had a good van vid to relax with after a hard day at work. Bam, "uploaded 2 minutes ago." Yay! You have me hooked now. Also: Our firewood has almost always been deadfall scavenged where we are and hacked up with a chainsaw. I was initially afraid of using it but I've gotten pretty good at it!

Haha!! We still love camping in all weather, but it is getting pretty cold and we’re finding it harder to get necessities, like fill up on water. Glad we could bring you some joy this weekend and help unwind! That feedback keeps us going. 🥰

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately we found that the CV boot was torn, which means our 4-wheel drive could fail if we didn't get it repaired. We definitely didn't want to risk that driving through Canada (it is actually currently snowing where we are in BC), so we had to get it fixed. She is all better now and ready to continue south. :)
