I'm half Swedish and grew up in a salty liquorice eating household. I love Samiakki and also their packaging design ♥ I never had Gröna Kulor, but I just googled them and they are accidentally vegan and taste of pear, so I will definitely try them in the future ♥

These are exactly why i followed you, unexpected and creepy and amazing, i don't think anyone else I follow does art ideas like you do. I wanna try all of these now, and even though I don't like liqourice, it makes my mouth a bit numb (is it supposed to do that or am i actually just allergic? maybe), i do love salmiakki ice-cream a lot, one of my favourite flavours (and it has zero numbing effects on me)

Hi Emmi from a fellow Finnish anime artist! I do have to say your art looks insanely good! Like super good stuff. I've already devoured a nice chunk of your videos. I can clearly see the Ghibli + 80s + 90s anime vibe in your artworks. What I noticed was that there's this one (or multiple) effects that you add to your drawings that truly take it to the right vibe. Kind of cinematic, retro thingy. For example in this specific video that would be at 6:22 - 6:27 spot. What is that effect? noise filter, photo filter?

I do that with pans 😂 3:29 We have one that has ridges or whatever that look like the lines in salmon meat 🍣 so I always just call it the salmon pan😂

In the Netherlands Salmiak is a known candy, wouldn't say it's popular though. I personally like it a lot! And I don't like other licorice. I really want to try a Salmiakki ice cream, sounds incredible. My favourite creature was the green balls.

I had the pleasure of trying a selection of European candies for the first time this year and the salty liquorice thing just didn't work for me and I'm kinda sad.. It was too much for my taste buds to handle.. I guess our taste palette is very affected by what we grow up with and it's hard to get used to such new flavor combos.. I totally loved this video. The short story to go alone with each drawing and candy made it way more enjoyable! well done, Emimi! Definitely make a part 2 in he future! ♥ PS: Axolotl is pronounced with an X at the start. (Axe-o-lotl)

Dear, from how you described it, I think Finns are using the word "marmelade" like Russians. Correct me, if I'm wrong: In Russia "marmelad" is a type of sweet jelly, that resembles gummy bears. In English it's a jam made of citrus fruits (and in German it's just the general word for jam, no matter what the ingredients are).
