Yes the Eminem sleeping pill addiction thing is true. In 2005 he cancelled his anger management 3 European tour and checked into rehab. He didn't really care to get sober yet and relapsed immediately. His friend proof died which sent him into a depression and heightened his pill addiction. In december of 2007 Eminem overdosed and was 2 hours from death. He recovered and got sober in April of 2008. This song was recorded during the hiatus/king mathers era and was put on the deluxe version of his 2009 album Relapse which was in reference to his drugged up hiatus.

I was a die hard Eminem fan when he first came out his music was a addictive but some where down the line I lost got bored and got rid of his albums but over the last few months iv found that love for his music again and now I deeply regret getting rid of his albums. I brought revival album and to me it's dope now I need the rest of his albums I have missed out on so much music. Eminem is truly and deservingly the goat I have so much respect for him. I'm about to 39 next Saturday and I can say all the years I've been a hip hop fan Eminem is the only rapper that when I listen to certain songs or see live performances I get goose bumbs which no other rapper has done . I don't know why everyone seems to hate on Em's new album Revival (Maybe it's like he says in this rap, about time being the key factor) but for me, it's good. I feel like he's staying true to himself and rapping about what he sees and feels, sure there may not be as many complex syllabels or compound rhymes, but that not what's it about

Eminem/Marshall Mathers/Slim Shady is a lyrical genius. Food for thought: -Eminem was his pop alter ego, spoke of the political and entertainment world, radio friendly at times -Marshall Mathers let you into his personal life and experiences(this song), his relationship with mother, ex-wife and daughter -Slim Shady was that dark side that would speak on what he was thinking, but knew he couldn’t do, because criminal charges would follow He is the GOAT and a living Legend. Great reacts bro and thanks for keeping his ol skool music alive💯

Selling the souls part. In some of Eminems songs he says it, like DMX and we all just laugh at it. In most cases once an artist has, they usually start singing about wanting to give it/take it all back, songs about the dEVIL. Having another personality/side (changing or taking over) or have constant issues fighting their "demons". Yes he has worked very hard to get to where he is, but now he raps super saiyan without any help...? Weather he sold his soul for fortune and fame that's a sacrifice that gave us one hell of an artist. ~Respect~ Eminem, you got me through some tough times...✌
@bison3016 жыл бұрын
The whole "sellin' soul" thing is definitely true, too many famous people said they did it, and there's an interview for DMX called "music: dmx talks about Lucifer in Hollywood" and he looked dead ass serious.

thank you for bringing this up! People say em might be a clone and honestly some things line up. Encore has some songs that have heart and soul and some songs that dont. look at the the song "rain man" it sounds to me that hes channeling a lower entity. I even heard Jay-z reference this "character" or darker entity(we kw jay's sketchy). Listen to that song: "My name was not to become what i became in this level of fame, my SOUL IS POSSESSED BY THIS DEVIL my new name is...rain man". look at evil deeds: "MOM I DONT WANT TO BE SATANS SPAWN, I never got the chance to say i'm sorry". "pass 50 the baton MY SOUL IS GONE". "BUT THE CURTAINS JUST DONT CLOSE FOR ME, THIS AINT HOW FAME WAS SUPPOSED TO BE". Or what about saying goodbye to hollywood: "I SOLD MY SOUL TO THE DEVIL AND ILL NEVER GET IT BACK". now when I think of the song "my darling", I think what if it's the devil he sold his soul to, not slim shady? IDK?? at the end of the day I feel like the eminem show was very real and then encore's different. I think if something happened it was after the eminem show and 8 mile. I mean encore has evil deeds, toy soldiers, encore, yellow brick road, never enough, adn those songs to me are dope! it had potential but it's kind of like "MC Ren's shock of the hour", in other words encore to me is very uneven. Hes ending the beef with benzino in toy soldiers but then dissing him in big weenie?? unfortunately em used to rock the triangle necklace around 2011-2012 and most of us know what that symbolizes. So i really dont kw. I watch em on tour and he seems fine, but when I dig deeper and hear theories and lyrics like these I cant help but to feel like somethings up. IDK??

Take a listen to STIMULATE. One of my favorites that not alot of people seem to know about. Old but good. Think it came out as a single or a bonus track on one of his albums if you bought deluxe version. Love hearing how others react to verses or songs that take your mind to another place. No matter where you come from Em can make you feel like he's talking about your life. Keep dissecting these bars. 15 years later I'm still hearing new meanings behind some verses that I've heard 1000 times. Like dam... never got it before but that shits clever as hell. Genious. Go Hawks
