I've always thought hes taken a more BARS approach towards his album music from relapse onwards. However, in saying that, although its good MUSIC, recovery was not a good album. His first 3 albums are untouched. EDIT: Let me fix that incase someone tries getting technical on me. I mean SSLP, MMLP, and TES. Not infinite.

Gilgamesh Recovery was a really good album. Strongly disagree there. I know it's not popular with the old slim shady fans (the mmlp era) because it's a more mature album. Ems gonna sell regardless but Recovery still went 4x platinum. You're discrediting Recovery because of his historic past albums. Was recovery historic? Prob not but it was still a very good album

GURU dont get me wrong. I like the album. But not as an album. More as a collection of songs. Im only 21, i didnt listen to em in his mmlp days. But i appreciate albums for conceptual factors. TPAB is my favourite album, so thats an example. I think he showed his masterclass LYRICISM here though, lyricism that we only sadly see underground nowadays.

Recovery was fuckin awesome Cinderella Man is easily one of Eminem's best tracks ever, that song literally pumps you up to take on the world the beat is flawless and the bears are just pure wordplay ill never understand why Eminem thinks he sounded like everyone in the industry with Recovery, i think his flow was perfect for his style and everything was matching up and whats more you could STILL tell "hey thats Eminem" clearly because it was STILL unique Recovery is the most under-appreciated Eminem album of all time and is likely to remain so forever, even Eminem under-appreciates his work on it

I listened to recovery more than any of his other albums. It such a profound impact on me because I was caught in the same bullshit that Eminem was with pain pills. So a lot of the lyrics were really relatable. I got out of it just like he did but there was like a year or two of my life where I thought I'd either end up in jail or dead because of them. I loved this album and Cindarella Man was probably my favorite track on the album. This is the only one of his newer albums that I hold in the same respect as his older stuff like the Eminem Show which was like my holy grail album of his. Recovery is just as memorable to me for the music, and personal reasons, as his older more revered albums are.
