Honestly, I feel like 50 joining up with aftermath was the beginning of Eminem’s downfall musically. I can’t pinpoint why but the energy just changed. He went from more jokey and chill to ramping up the beefing and acting hard. That’s why I’m a big fan of his first 3 albums and the 8 mile soundtrack and very little else after that. His music went through too much of a tonal shift between 8 mile and encore for me

I am the exact opposite: a fan of everything from after the first three albums. I like ems more serious tone than his jokey raps. But, but I agree with you, it did change locally there’s enough Em out there for all of us to like his music.
