That verse was MEANT for an album like MTBMB, and definitely wasn't meant for relapse, although some topics matched it. You can see the lines, words, rhyme schemes, etc. he liked from his scrapped verse and used on his other songs. "I smell the scent of a blunt" was turned to "I smell the scent of a placenta" on Stay Wide Awake. He probably liked that kind of opening. To think over a decade later is when he decided to come back and use that verse as inspiration for a new song that better fits what he's working on. I love these kind of things.
