But deep down Em knows Joey is an A-tier lyricist and the reason he never had hits is because he was an underground rapper until he joined Slaughterhouse. And the bar itself wasn't totally accurate- Budden had hits! Pump It Up and Gangsta Party Feat. Nate Dogg (Rip) were the shiznit back in the day. Back to the joint; y'all missed one of the best bars on the track "I'm like a beacon of Hope, a B-I-R-D" That's a reference to the Arkham Knight; Batman because Jim Gordon always summons him via projecting the beacon that has the Bat Signal "Bird" to the sky because Batman is their only "Hope"
