RIP Big Proof! Eminem and Proof were as close as brothers. It was Proof who convinced Em to go to his first rap-battle and all that. Em was selfconsious af from his messed up upbringing in poverty plus the fact he was bullied for being the white, skinny little weird kid in basically every school he went to as a kid, East side Detroit. Proof and Em found eachother somewhere along the way, and Proof made connections early with key people on the hiphop-scene in Detroit. He recognized Em's talent and used his position to put Em on in every way he could. If it wasn't for Proof, there'd be no Eminem as we know him, if you ask me. And yes, he was killed in a pool-hall in Detroit, April 11 2006. It devestated Eminem, leading to him overdosing etc. Eminems verse on "Best Friend" is mostly about Proof. I also recommend Eminem -" Difficult" A tribute to Proof he didn't wanna put on an album or anything, cause he knew he could never write a song good enough to be his "official tribute" to Proof. A tragic ending to a beautiful friendship.

What he meant by stole the show was when Drake did a concert and he sang that song right before Eminem's part came on he stopped the song to introduce Eminem and to let people know that in his eyes Eminem is the greatest of all time. When Eminem came on to do his part on that song Forever the whole crowd went wild. So obviously he stole the show. That is why he said that part.
