The thing about Lord Jamar is he said "Eminem is a guest in the house of hip hop" because he is white which is bogus af, not to mention if we are going down that route I guess we could say that Tiger woods is a guest in Golfs' house or Lebron and Jordan are guests in the house of the NBA because those sports were originally white, which is just a horrible thing to do or say.

@@KobraDaWolf I think it's a problem to label a genre of music as "owned" by a group. Art shouldn't be limited that way, your skin color shouldn't determine whether you're "allowed" or "welcome". But, if you're inspired to make blues, jazz, hiphop or any other music with an African-american origin, you should respect those origins. It's important to acknowledge the history, to salute those who came before you. Elvis was talented, but he severly lacked that show of respect, while Eminem has always been vocal about the giants before him, about getting his inspiration from predecessors like Rakim and B.D.K.

I think the "fetch me the remote" line is oftern misunderstood. Em, who Lord Jamar has said is a guest in the house of Hip Hop (and Em uses "your" because Lord Jamar has been very vocal and is acting like he is the only gatekeeper to the house), is basically saying that he belongs in the house, and proceeded to list off all the things he would do to make himself comfortable when in it: Use your telephone, then go fetch me the remote, Put my feet up and just make myself at home. Em is not telling Lord Jamar to fetch the remote, he is saying he would do it himself, put his feet up and start watching TV. Or as someone else said (I can't remember who at the moment), if Eminem is a guest in the house of Hip Hop, then he has a key...

Now that I think about it, IF Eminem were to tell ANYBODY to "go fetch" him something it would have nothing to do with race if you ask me (since that's the narrative here). It'd simply be for the type of person they were, and not for their complexion! ❤ to everybody! 😉

He's always respected those who are talented & write their own stuff. He also definitely knows about Elvis being not liked by the African-American community, but he's also comparing him to being Elvis in that sense as he's not liked in the Rap community, people respect Eminem & not Jamar. You talk about listening to all types of music for what they are. I'm from the moonshine capital of the world. My great great grandfather is on the cover of the book, and I listen to anything and everyone I like in music. I ride around in the cab of a tractor and lifted truck listening to this shit man. I grew up in the hard-core rap era.

Love him or hate him Eminem is a lyrical genius, his lyrics have multiple meanings which most people wont even nearly understand and his play on words is unreal, the lyrical IQ is on a level no-one can come close to. Even this guy is having trouble dissecting the true meanings of the lyrics.

Em loves his serial killers. I mean the man has literally studied all the big ones. And has referenced all of them in multiple raps. Em (and me) considers himself a mass killer

Hobsin did have that exact reaction you were thinking when you mentioned it, Sir. He specifically had that specific reaction.

Holy shit, I just realized. Don't think it was intentional, but you never know when Eminem is involved, but Mr Porters "I was in the back" lyric from D12 - My Band. Applies to this video as well

1. Em will never go after somebody unless they are talking sh*t bout him 2. React to Forever… might explain one of the toughest bars in this track

Why are you surprised he shouted out to Hop. He's probably the best underground rapper and blew up quietly on his ILL MIND tracks. Hop need to come back to rap.

For the B-I-R-D in the air, I also believe that it could be a reference to the bird of hope from pandora's box, the bird who came out in the midst of a swarm of terrible things

DJ Ak posted videos of Em in a hotel room and in the video Em is saying "yo did anyone follow you?" And Ak was trying say Em was caught lacking... but in reality it was a music video for "River" that wasn't released yet..
