I think it's a very subjective thing when it comes to a product aging well. Some might listen to old music and appreciated a sort of "blast form the past" effect. Nostalgia is a powerful element. When it comes to Em there's no point in trying to get Em fans to admit that his music has "aged badly" I doubt any fan of any artist would have such an opinion of their favorites. I do agree that a lot of things he was saying wouldn't fly today but I still think a lot of people can look past it as just being part of slim shady gimmick and just appreciate the creativeness and distinct personality put on those records. One's thing for sure if you were a never a big Eminem fan in the first place than a lot of those records will not resonate no matter how much you try.

He went at Will Smith because when Will won an award, he mentioned that we won and he didn’t have to use profanity or degrade women. This was after the SSLP was dropped and I felt as though he was taking a shot at Em.
@BlackMusicGenre Жыл бұрын
That statement Will made could be applied to any rapper. Now if Will said .... " I won an award and didn't have to talk about disrespecting the mother of my child/children and talk about how much I hate my mother". That would've been a direct dig at Eminem. Eminem did that because Will was a soft target, just like Michael Jackson was a soft target. The way Eminem disrespected MJ was worse imo because MJ was fighting for his freedom and Eminem made it his duty to kick MJ while he was down. Notice Eminem never disrespected Elvis on that level . As a matter of he took his ass on that Elvis soundtrack and paid homage to his parents and grandparents "iconic hero".

When’s the last time you listened to Relapse? It’s my second favorite album and you know why it’s not a bad album imo? I’ve never heard any criticism of it besides the accents lol. Crazy how Lebron James has literal videos of himself rapping to songs off of Kamikaze.. I wonder how many times he’s listened to that album? This is so subjective that’s it really is irrelevant what your opinion is on Eminem’s music..He has the one of the biggest fan bases in the world so of course, yes his music has incredible replay value. Eminem produced and featured on Akon Smack That which is one of the biggest club bangers from the 2000’s. How you gunna say people didn’t bump Em?? And if you only listen to one type of music for one type of mood then I feel sorry for you. There’s plenty of reasons to listen to Ems music. I wonder how many people relate to having a pill addiction, being bullied, getting sober, having issues with family growing up...? How many people has Eminem’s music helped going through rough times knowing they can relate the one of the biggest artists in the world who shows so much of his troubles and vulnerability through his music. I just don’t understand the constant attempts at trying to diminish his legacy??
