I'd say Eminem is definitely one of the greatest rappers. I feel like in the rap genre, there is and never will be a single greatest rapper of all time. People like Kendrick, J.cole, Lupe Fiasco, Logic and even Migos are incredibly talented rappers but in their own specific way. You'll find it hard to find rappers with the raw aggression Eminem can bring to his raps while at the same time you wont find a rapper who is able to technically chain together the craziest words by breaking down syllables like Lupe Fiasco can. Good luck finding a rapper who can make solid conceptual albums which feel like actual works of art like Kendrick has done back to back. That's why i love rap so much.

It’s funny, watching y’all’s videos- I feel like I’m noticing how metal and hip hop share some common emotional veins- which you wouldn’t normally think the genres would be related at all- but it seems like it’s rather easy for y’all to appreciate the attitude of a lot of it. The thing people don't get when judging Em's album is that all of his songs can't be his best song, some will always be better than others for some people, and I say *some* people because music is subjective in the first place, so what's bad to you may be good to someone else. But, back to my main point, in Chloraspetic Eminem even says "I'm only compared to myself" which is true, the issue is: Even if he's the best rapper that doesn't mean he can make every song perfect, so when he's constantly compared to himself even if he writes a really good song if it's not quite as good as some of his older songs people will just automatically consider it trash rather than judge it on it's own merit. Revival is a great album, and most of the songs are great, the only problem is people are expecting consistent perfection on all of Em's songs... which is impossible. And when you compare every song on Revival to other popular modern rappers right now, it blows 90% of them out of the water.
