I just started back listening to Em last week after over 10 years. My son has been on hard drugs off and on for about a year. He used to hang out with Jelly roll back in the day. Dr. Told my son when he was in rehab that his liver is failing, and he has fluid on his lungs. He will be 29 this month. I pray he gets better soon.

I know it’s a remix, but jelly roll’s hauntingly beautiful melody juxtaposed by Eminem’s verses, which at first felt intoxicating, but quick changed into a harrowing sobering life or death experience, his daughter crying seeing him in the ICU barely clinging on to life. I am a recovering addict who just slipped up two days ago after many months. The tears are falling as I write this, but not in the same way they used to. Not because of the mistake I made and the consequences that may follow this setback, but more like tears of joy, and hope for myself, thanks to this beautiful song, but also because I feel like I am discovering a new and improved moral compass even stronger than the one I had before the years of addiction. I found recovery and relapse whiney, they were my least favorite albums, the lyrical skill is and has always been there but I don't like the content of the songs they're boring to me. When Kamikaze came out in my opinion it was his best album since eminem show bcuz it was aggressive, it was hip hop, and he was going after people. I know what he's trying to do and why he has to put out those bubble gum hits, but those kinda songs are NOT my jam 🤷‍♂️
