I love the visual representation of this video: Opening, you see the calm of the "surface" looking over Em's career in general. But as he goes down the elevator, you see the snippets of his career and thinking while "looking back" at his life and career for each verse of the song.... ONLY to finally reach the "bottom" of his soul, where locked up in the cage is the true "monster" that is kept pent up and writing lines... that Em then takes back to the surface to put into a new track. The entire visual metaphor is basically Em having to "dive deep" to his "core" and "unleash the beast" that will produce the bars/lines that generates everything else around Em's life that you only see as an outsider looking at the results. And while he can do it, time after time, sometimes it isn't "comfortable" going that deep inside yourself to find the same drive and conviction to keep producing for over 20 years, almost non-stop.

Eminem in the Elevator is going down his memory lane like the first video was with Dr Dre and the other one is his 8 mile music video then his other one is from the way I am so pretty much this is leading to his old self and that's why the Person in the cage surrounded by the Swat is his Monster from his past.

The hook that Rihanna sings is actually Bebe Rexha's. She does the high notes you hear (actually the word "new" extended. Em did finally perform it with Bebe at Coachella and it's as good, if not better than with Rihanna, in my opinion.
