On the topic of white rappers: I saw an interview with Mac Miller while he was still alive where he talked about how he started working harder at rappin after his initial success bc he wanted to prove/show he was dedicated to making his raps mean something, tbh I have not seen the interview in years so I can't recall exactly what he said but in my opinion he was kind of implying he wanted to be known more as just the white rapper or something like that.
