I miss the old battle days personally..To me imo it took a lot more skill, like you said it was true freestyling for one. It had a beat to, so you had to have a rhythm..and timing for punches was more crucial to me. Sure today lyrics are way more advanced but in current battle rap people have time to train almost like boxing lol. Back in the day you battled several people a night tournament style..maybe I'm just old and ramblin but the golden era was just a special time for all of hip hop. Unfortunately we'll never see anything like it again probably

Type in slang ton freestyle, he was Eminem’s mentor . The word play , rhyme screams , super lyrical bars came from slang ton he was doing it first . When he died Eminem tried to lyrically fill his shoes . His mixtapes and freestyles he did decades ago could go toe to toe and even 1 up Eminem’s raps today . He was far ahead of his time the song Eminem did called brain damage was sling ton’s song .

huh em is known for using the stuff in his freestyles and put it on his albums no apologies is one example i think you‘re talking out your ass and projecting a fair bit, which really isn‘t a fair judgement

To chop up freestyle raps and put portions into a song that takes weeks/months to complete has nothing to do with a " Freestyle ". He'll, Em used "Mother F'er, Sh!+, f|_|c|
