kids with divorced parents with traumatic separations relate deeply to this song. I can’t ever listen to this and not cry, and at the same time it makes me so grateful for everything me and my family have ever been through and today everyone just loves and respects each other so much. It just makes me even more thankful for having such an awesome dad, through it all.

This whole song makes me feel so much better. This song is basically a father figure to me. I'm really glad Eminem made this song, feels like I finally have the father I needed when I was younger The fact that this song came out when the problems with my father started getting worse and my parents were arguing a lot more often. My Mum found out he was " Cheating " With my babysitter when it was really all a lie. But every night after my Dad left I used to listen to this song. I cried to it every night because I just wanted my Dad back. My parents have gotten back together and everything is fine now but every night I listen to this song. But that wasnt true. Now as a mother myself i listen to this song and promise myself my kids will never have to listen to songs like this and feel that empty ache in their chest because they can relate to the struggle. If i am not a good mother to them, if i fail them in anyway close to the way my parents did that will be my biggest regret and mistake. They are my entire life. This reminds me a lot of my childhood. My mom always tried to keep me away from my dad cause my dad was married to a drug addict after my mom left him. It gets even more complicated than that. I have psychosis and as I child I never knew what it was, so my mom made me feel like I had to hide from everyone. My mom even made up a song for me to sing to myself at school cause I'd act out a lot I was violent for no reason sometimes. My mom said to stay away from the other kids, and when other kids were touching me inappropriatly my mom did nothing when I told her she said it was normal and told me to not do anything. I grew up with no friends, I developed Major depressive disorder from the time I was only 8 and wished to die. My dad did the best he could well my dad worked at AK steal when I was young and there was a huge explosion and I was crying for my dad thinking he was gonna die it was my aunt me and my mom in the car. And when we got there my dad showed up to the end of the fence that separates the building from the other side of the highway. My aunt and my mom thought I was sleeping cause I got quiet after a bit. And as my aunt was getting out to grab child support my aunt said "all we care about is the money" I heard it. I look outside and I could hear my dad asking if he could say hi to me and my aunt said no, you can't and she's asleep. I waved to him and he waved back my aunt just ignored it and he handed the money over and we drove off. But even though my childhood was rough I have a good relationship with my dad and me and my mom are now good even though there are things I will never forget what she has done. There is a lot more I could say.. but it's a long story.. Edit: I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words, I did not expect to get this much attention. I hope you all have a good day, and bless you all. I am in a much better place now, I currently live with my dad and my boyfriend. My BF and I of 3 years are planning to move out soon to get our own place. My mom and dad get along now, they are happy and with their significant others. My dad has a back injury so he is unable to work he is recovering and I am helping him any way I can. Again thank you all so much for the support!

My sister used to play this song for me as a child and tell me it was “her song to me” rlly hits when ur all grown up fr Some lines in this song really hit hard as my dad was present but never around and my mother was neglectful and eventually lost me completely due to her addiction. It’s just wild looking back at this song and actually seeing how real it was to the actual situation and how mature my sister had to be at such a young age to have to be there for me. There’s real pain in this song and tons of people can feel it, to anyone else dealing with your own or someone else’s addiction you’re not alone.

I don't have a history of parental divorce or anything similar, but this song still manages to get to my chest because of what I've been through these last 18 months. My mother fell ill with cancer and this Sunday she passed away, but in the 18 months that we have lived, my father has been the one who has given me comfort through the process. My mom was a great mom and it's not her fault she got sick, and my dad was always there for me. I guess that's what the songs are for: everyone interprets them and feels them in different ways.

It's only the gen z kids who want to cancel him because they have been brainwashed into thinking that free speech is bad. They don't realize that cancel culture and the death of free speech will only usher in the birth of oppression and tyranny.

Emeinem is a real raper he tells us about his life you can feel the pain in his voice and then he raps about the robbing and sadness i know somone else out there feels his pain and knows what he's going through and what has happened 💔

It’s such a painful song but it is also such a good song to the point you just choke on your words and start crying because it’s so beautiful.

I just listened to this and I’m in tears. Me and my father didn’t speak for a whole year because he never apologized to me for… things that he did. That hurt like crazy, looking at his messages with disgust and feeling angry at someone so important in my life. Just a month ago he said sorry and we’re talking a bit more… this song feels so much like something he would say to me

Songs do not make me cry. They do however, make me think about my life and how bad it could have been. We all need to appreciate the little things. He is a great dad. I hear all the pain that is in his voice.
@LunaGaming_999 Жыл бұрын
@@reneilwemakhasana5487 I am just trying to help with a point that I have heard before but it might not be true... Sometimes parents will say things like "YOU ARE A DISAPOINTMENT" or "How are you even my child" but some do it but they are actually proud of you! They want to make sure you do your best and they think it is the best way to do it. I hope this helps. Again it may not be true for your family but it still exists.

I can relate to this song so much, my dad being an immigrant from Mexico and growing up poor, when my mom had me and my brother, all he wanted was to give us the world and give us a good childhood, a childhood he couldn’t have because he started working at 7 years old to survive

This song used to make me really mad because it was all I ever wanted as a kid but now I listen to it and it just makes me happy because I realize that there are good people out there my dad was present in my life but he was never really there and I remember every single night I would listen to this song and now every time I hear it tears come to my eyes

I love this song, it makes me wanna cry. I used to be daddy's princess but my parents were always fighting. Living in the hood and we were broke. My daddy left us and my ma tried keeping me and my lil bro from him. Momma didn't have a good job and she wasn't around much either. I grew up raising another kid. This song just hits so hard.

Anyways i never thought much of it and well now it hits me hard bc i rarely see my dad and im always with my grandparents. Last time i saw my dad was last chrismas and i text him every now and again but before last chrismas i hadnt seen him in over a year. Its rough man... ik how you feel tho stay strong and push through. Everything will be alright. Find something to let stress out and something that you love and pursue it.
