Duane have you done the encore bonus tracks? We as americans is the best song on there. Its a shame it wasnt on the original release. When you listen make sure you find the uncensored version. You’ll see what i mean but the official release has a line edited

Theres a video explaining encore that i think someone dropped recently... What i never knew was encore was so supposed to be on the level of Eminem show but it had got leaked, basically between being distraught over that and his growing drug addiction he pretty much was like fuck it and started writing songs quick. And because i watched that video this album finally makes more sense. I knew he was on drugs bad but didn't realize the leak happened... And apparently, we as Americans, love you more and ricky ticky tock was on the bonus disc, three of the tracks that were supposed to be for his initial project with we as American starting the album.

I just seen that video as well...... Even the cover of the album was different. It was a photo from behind him & he was holding a gun. The whole album was supposed to be a full concept album of doing the Encore after The Eminem show but he was gonna do 1 last song & kill all the fans & then himself. The label or the censorship folks wouldn't allow the cover to be that....... The video was such a dope video. I sent it to Duane to react to but he said he has so much on his plate with all the editing & the videos he is currently making but he would watch it on his own time........ It really was a amazing well put together video

Im pretty sure Ems said in an interview somewhere, that he literally has little memory of the recording of Encore. He was so fucked on drugs and bombarded by career pressures at this point that Em was kinda on auto-pilot in alot of ways around this time lol. That being said, When this came out I think I was 16, and I was playing this album and D12 world non-stop for a long ass time, and it drove my parents absolutely bonkers lol

Yes, it was leaked. After the leak, Em, said he had post traumatic leak disorder. He mentioned he wouldn't send Paul anymore songs through the mail, bcuz it could easily be intercepted by anyone. The album was originally intended to be Eminem's final studio album, and its cover art and title reflect this.

Encore was THE MOST studio involved album. They insisted on a single for the album, such as ‘without me’, and Em gave them this… Yeah, that’s how ‘just lose it’ was born.

Love everything on Encore. It's a testament to Em's natural talent that his "worst" music is still pretty fucking good. Plus, I have a thing for "shit-media". He's making a point that even if he's crapping on a track, it's still art. If Brittany Spears can sing some formulated teenie bopper song, written by an old grey haired man to sell records, then Em can spill the goofiest lyrics you've ever heard, and still make better music because it's from the heart. It might be stupid, but it's honest, and he's not trying to convince you that it's anything else.

This song he literally made out of anger to the label because they didn't protect his songs & let them get hacked & then leaked. This album was fully gonna be a concept album of him doing 1 last ENCORE & he was gonna shoot everyone at his show & then take his own Life. The original album cover wasn't the 1 you see now. The original was a photo taken from behind him & he was taking the BOW you see now but the arm behind his back had a gun in his hand but the censors didn't allow it........... He had his album completed 100% & while it was getting mixed & stuff is when the Hack took place & 7 or 8 songs were leaked & he literally had to rush & create 7-8 songs & he was really angry & it was the height of his drug problem so he went & just made all the nonsense & flat out told the label, "You don't wanna protect my music well here is your album"....... It was on purpose to just create madness, but there is some truly amazing songs on ENCORE & the leaks hurt it bad....... Like MOSH, WE AS AMERICANS, TOY SOLDIERS, MOCKINGBIRD,WHEN IM GONE EXT

When I rate albums, I don’t let the throwaways bring down my view of the album. I just don’t listen to them or add them to any playlists. With that mindset, Encore is my 2nd favorite Eminem album after The Eminem Show. This 15 track album can go up against almost any other album, in my opinion. 1.
