@zuton_3 жыл бұрын
@@KushDreams420 so you believe that MGK won the beef? I can respect that we have different opinions. But MGK talked about Marshals daughter. That’s what started the beef. Then Kelly dissed him in a song for no reason. Eminem responded by dissing Kelly in Not Alike and Kelly made an entire diss track on Em. Sure Kelly had a fan base before this happened. He had to have some sort of crowd. But when Eminem dissed him and Kelly made a diss track. Kelly was the talk of the hip-hop world for seven days, until Eminem dropped Killshot. Which completely ruined MGK on not only a lyrical stance, but in comebacks, wordplay, and cadence. You can like whichever artist you like, but you have to understand why other people have different opinions. I’m not an Eminem “fanboy” I’m just using facts to back up my opinion. MGK is definitely still popular, but those seven days are one of the Prominent factors that made him well known (because he was beefing with an icon, and because the icon wasn’t responding) but when Em actually responded. Many professionals agree that Em won.
@zuton_3 жыл бұрын
@@KushDreams420 yeah I agree that his career hasn’t ended. But it has fallen off and is not exactly where it used to be. He does have skill in multiple different genres but I wouldn’t say he’s more skilled than Eminem. Marshal has honed his abilities in one genre while Kelly has spread out to multiple in order to try to gain the same relevance he had for his seven days of fame. at least that’s what I think. I agree that Kelly is good at both rap and rock but I am just quoting the song, which did signal the end to MGK’s rapping career as he switched to rock. Many speculate if this has anything to do with him losing to Eminem and personally I think one reason he did switch was because of the hate he was getting after his beef with Eminem. But I’m not saying he is a nobody, I’m just talking about his rapping career and how he lost.

Or just the fact that it’s like 50% pop. I’m a fan of hip hop. I’m not close minded to other genres and I can tolerate any kind of music but I don’t want a 50% pop album from a rap legend like Eminem. Honestly it makes me rush back to mmlp to cleanse my ears a bit and remember who Eminem is😂 fr I’m a die hard em fan, I bought every album including revival and whenever anything drops I instantly buy it cuz basically owe it to him to support him no matter what because his music got me thru tough times and taught me a lot and help shape me into the person I am today but that album is still kinda hard for me to even listen to. Eminem is the lyrical king. Anyone talking shit just gives him more fuel for another fire. I like a lot of different genres and artists that have great lyrics, but none touch the level he's on. He's the entendre and bar king. I've listened to older stuff when he was younger and stuff that I thought was a double was actually a triple or quad entendre not counting it relaying to the previous or next lines at the same time. I don't know, man. I've been trying to find people from any genre that cut so deep like he does, but even poets and authors, etc don't compare overall. This comment is a lot lop-sided since it's to an Em song and that's why. If we were talking playwrights or whatever then, no, not the same and he would probably fail at classics like Shakespeare or whatever. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if he could do a modern rewrite of that and make it really good.

I feel like there should be an IQ prerequisite before being able to react to or give opinions about Revival publicly. If your IQ is isn't at least in triple digits, you shouldn't be able to share your dumbass opinions about it because 99% of the bars likely went right over your head. “Turn down for what, I ain’t loud enough Nah, turn the Valium up” I saw it as a double entendre like Em usually does with his bars. Might not be referenced in that verse but he does mention “I should eat a pill” referencing how people want him to go back to “Slim Shady”. “Do you know why Dre’s record was so successful? He’s rapping about big screen TV’s, blunts, 40’s and bitches. You’re rapping about homosexuals and Vicodin.” - Steve Berman (skit) MMLP Also interesting that there’s no chorus at all in this song. Unconventional cadence, the beats he raps to, this is one of those unique and highly slept on songs by him.
