Fun Fact: Eminem kicked everyone out in the studio for this to test if Kendrick really had ghost writers or not
@eddydosanjos92564 жыл бұрын
James Larsson very true Ed Sheeran talks about this
@alkoholic32164 жыл бұрын
He didn't kick everyone out of the studio because of that lmao where did you heat that from? Kendirck said himself Em kicked everyone out the studio because he didn't want Kendirck distracted or nothing, he wanted Kendirck to feel like its just him and the mic in the room with no one watching him. Like the saying "Sing like no ones watching you"

Kendrick said Em asked him to do just the hook then he kicked everyone out and gave Kendrick a verse that only took K 45 min to write. That’s dope
@mahlakomananaconstructions97154 жыл бұрын
What I had always appreciated about K's verse was how he transitioned from the hook to his verse. Generally that's Em's strength, you get him on a feature he is either gona do the hook and link it with his verse or bridge the fucking hook and have a smooth transition to his verse. That's how he killed majesty by Nicky.
@bmartin23044 жыл бұрын
Exactly. This wasn't a fair em vs. Kendrick because K. only had 45 mins to write it. Was as good as anyone could have done in 45 mins. Good reaction though. Ems shit was ridiculous and still probably unbeatable.

Kendrick wrote the verse in 45 mins? Wtf is up with that beast Jesus

@@bmartin2304 nah... Kendrick didn't have only 45 minutes to write. He wrote his verse in 45 minutes and even Eminem was surprised... Not that he had to write within 45 minutes kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4CslISZo7udY7c ☝🏾☝🏾 Here is a link to a Kendrick interview
@bmartin23043 жыл бұрын
@@drempi3735 poor choice of wording but my point was the verse was written in 45 mins, and ems was not. weather he only had 45 mins or that is all he took makes no difference. I appreciate you trying to clarify this for me though.

The beat is supposed to sound all whacky and corny, it’s a parody on pop songs I actually love how the whole thing sounds, probably one of the funniest Eminem tracks, and that says a lot
@vooselagina474 жыл бұрын
It sounds like that because the sample is pulled from the mid 60s. The Game of Love - Mindbenders. Not sure where you came up with the parody thing.

Here’s my 2 cents. This is Eminem’s bag, wild shit and amazing wordplay. Kendrick is stretching his muscles going into Eminem’s world for a song but that’s not kendricks style. I’d love to see a reversal where em tries to step into kendricks specialties like storytelling, biblical references, moral ambiguity, and painting an artistic picture. I love them both for their separate strengths and I think they are both the best at what they do.
