A lot of Eminem’s flops would be greatest hits for other artists in more ways. Cliff should listen to his underground or underrated songs more.

There are so many. The underrated or overlooked song I usually name is No Apologies. But there are soooo many that could be considered underrated, overlooked or forgotten.

There’s so many songs from em that if a black guy had it they would go thru the roof, but because it’s em there overlooked easy and it’s sad really everything he writes is gold
@xavier-lopez3424 күн бұрын
@ to me Brain Damage, Bonnie and Clyde, Til I Collapse are topping his underrated stuff in 2024. More can be added to this list too. The underated music list is better than most of the rappers since 2000 with mumble rap not being considered a music genre at all. Lil Wayne was a lyricist, he is now considered a mumble rapper too me as he fell off. I’m okay if anyone disagrees as that is why we are all different.

I've been a fan and loved Eminem since 98/99 and i was 13/14. Always til this day, never changed. He's the only artist i listened to throughout the years and never stopped. He's the only constant lol. I'm happy he's here and still making music. I hate when people say he should still be on drugs cause of the music. How can you want a person like that. Horrible. I'm glad hes been sober putting out good music like you said. I came across your channel a while ago looking for Eminem reactions and i still come here. I love that Karen is doing this and wants to go on the Eminem journey. I'm here for it. I like Karen. I was a fan and liked him through his ups and downs when things were going on so it's nice to see her reactions to him/his words/what he's been through. So please do more Karen. The two of you are so sweet, cool and nice. And she was right about being a fan and him saying goodbye cause i always thought no don't leave lol. Then would be happy when he would say he's not going anywhere lol. Sorry for the long comment. I hope all is well with the both of you.

A lot of people don't make this connection but it was on the set of 8mile that Em got more heavy than ever in using pills and alcohol to cope with the fame of being in a movie in addition to his music career. He realized that Hollyweird wasn't good for his sobriety. He truly did say goodbye to Hollywood, he only did the 8mile movie and has refused to be in any other movies. Thats also why he turned down being in Southpaw. He continued obviously making music, but he won't be in a movie again.

I was just listening to this, this morning. I like how Karen is really understanding him. Very cool. And you say it as I see it as well. And I was there for it all as a bit older than Marshall. And my family being in the hip hop/ Rap industry. And this came out in 02 same as the movie and that is when he started taking pills doing the movie. And it started slowly into a problem eventually. Ambiem as he couldn’t sleep. And then they gave him Valium and Vicodin. They would call it Tylenol. Which is in Vicodin. He didn’t know at times. All prescription pills that he wound up addicted to. He has spoke of that. Before that when he was battle rapping. He hardly did anything. Maybe have a 40 after work. And very rarely smoked weed. He actually was an average guy in a way. Not a party guy. Just lived to rap and write. And try to provide for his little girl. Karen you will love Hailie’s song and the last song. This is one of my faves. Every song on This album is great. As he also produced most of it. He is a very talented producer and comedian And Dre as well. And the industry really pushes stuff on artists. Which is messed up. His last concert he did for Encore in 2005 and it was cut short the amount of shows “as he did rehab. As he was taking too many pills. And you can tell. But dang he could still do an entire show and never messed up words etc…. And came out and less than a year later proof died in 06. And that really messed him up. But the end of 07 he overdosed. And has been clean ever since over 16 years now. Cliff I saw you show her the year before he signed in 98. As he battled rapped. A lot. Work and Rap to hope to get famous and provide for his family. I liked your landline comment. Haha. Had to add in the pager and looking for a telephone booth to return calls. Simpl I times. But concerts were so great back then.

Always thought of "Say Goodbye Hollywood" as more as a direct "F--- the publicity system to the music industry" more than a "going to retire/stop" sort of vibe. I mean, at this time, Em was so deeply involved in producing this album, doing 8-Mile movie, touring, interviews, personal issues, addiction issues, watching friends in the industry getting derailed for one reason or another, dealing with the lose of friends and family members....not to mention the ONGOING beefs in the industry. Well, at this point there is no doubt that he had to get rid of SOME of the distractions and focus on himself far more than what some publicity department person from the label was talking about Em doing "next".

I forgot who the original quote was from but it’s something like, “if you want to be rich and famous, try just being rich first” unfortunately it doesn’t always work that way.
@jcIIXVIIIVII28 күн бұрын
Before Em was famous, and I think before Hallie was born, or when she was just newborn, dealing with losing his jobs, his strained relationships with Kim and his mom, and the death of Ronnie, Eminem did attempt suicide by taking a lot of pills. It was after that failed attempt that he was determined to make it. So in reality, we almost never had an Eminem or a Slim Shady at all, if that suicide attempt at worked. Thankfully, he survived that and found the strength in himself to build himself up and to never again quit in the face of possible defeat.
