Thanks to Eminem, rap doesn’t have to be so fluidly written because you can still write your own thoughts and rhyme them just as fluidly. He was and still is the best at this artistic flow of rapping. No one can deliver like him, time like him, or even rhyme like him. His mindful vocabulary is like a Rap Thesaurus that’s ferocious, and he may even know this, but I’m just glad he shows us.

People are not understanding the message being delivered on walk on water, the revival album was a message, he wasnt trying to drop bangers he was trying to explain different stuggles like walk on water were his life struggles being famous and partly trying to show other celebrities struggles as well, river was a story about abusive realationships so he and ed were trying to show some issues with bad realationship. People interpereted it wrong and were talking about how he had trash bars. In my opinion he had a fire message.

I'm a bigger Eminem fan than 96% of the whole fanbase yet I'll just shut up and let people express their opinion. Other Eminem stans may hate others who are ALSO fans, but didn't like some of his shit. For fuck's sake Eminem doesn't make masterpieces all the time. Amazing the people hating on Walk on Water, basically doing the the exact thing that he spoke of in that song. Maybe if people listened to lyrics and were open to varying styles of music, this kind of thing wouldn't happen so much. If you want his older music, search for it on KZbin. You can't expect an artist like Eminem to put out music about a part of his life that he does not live anymore. All you self proclaimed fans shitting on him for sounding sad, depressed, or less himself than usual need to realize that he speaks his mind through rap (one of the last modern rappers to do this), and that you are the person that he speaks of who as he says "stripped me of my confidence." How would you feel if you set the bar so high in something that even when you feel you have once again surpassed it, people no longer respect you. No matter what you do, what angle you take, people are too stuck on a particular sound from you that they just mindlessly dismiss your work regardless of the true quality. Just wait until he's gone, it's just a little more power in the hands of mumble rappers.

His lyrics are still amazing but if I don’t like the flow and beat why should I listen to the song ? Every artist needs to face critizisme. I’m not gonna say it’s amazing to make eminem happy even if I think it’s shit.

I never listened to the words of walk on water until Saturday night. It has to be one of the honest and telling songs I have ever heard. An artist dealing and accepting the fact that they are not as relevant or as popular as they once was was so mature and so grounded in reality is astonishing, just is. And having the courage to not only admit it, but put it in his music for us all to hear is a level of maturity that most of us will never meet. P.S. I almost lost it when he did Stan!!!!!

I actually think Eminem is far from a has been, only he takes years in releasing new content. I think the last LP came out like four years ago, and that’s a long time for an artist to be gone. As far as I’m concerned, he killed it with his last album,
@brandonb33117 жыл бұрын
Leah C. Drawn agreed. See, all these garbage rappers need to release every year to stay relevant. Em is probably the only rapper who can come out with an album every 3-5 years and still come out better music than A drake or anyone of that nature. Em is an exception. A true legend

DragoFTW So, to evolve is to enlarge in some way. To grow into something better or metamorph into something more advanced. Change can be negative and/or positive. Evolve is only positive. That's one of the differences. To evolve something has to change but to change something doesn't necessarily have to evolve.
