I looked it up, and Cid speaks in third person because he thinks of the world he is in as fiction, his own story he gets to play out. In his original world, he was obsessed with being the eminence in shadow, but in his world that was just a fake thing, fictional. After he found out everyone else had moved on from it, he lost it. When he found himself in another world where the eminence in shadow could be real, he thought the world as his plaything, a fictional reality that was his to control. So the way you made him act seems pretty accurate. The guy's kinda like light from death note, a mentally unstable person chasing after their own delusions.

I am surounded by these kids irl so by now I have a pretty eficient strategy to destroy that god complex of theirs. It’s very simple : make a plan that you know will be foolproof and work no matter what happends then present them with the posibility of them not wining, they will start making up everything they can and then you wait a few days. Afterwards you activate the plan (preferably them loosing at something they care about or loosing SOMETHING they care about). It’s best to have eye withnesses (preferably their friends or people they know) and unfold the plan then and there making sure that in the publics eye you were the one who won and that the victims plans were crushed. The person who this is directed at will either run away crying or try to save whatever you are taking away. In the worst case they will get violent with you and sometimes even attack you on the spot. Note : This was only tested on individuals younger than 15 and is extremly eficient. It also may give the victim fear or ptsd from you so use it wisely.

But if they want a war, what they can do, when Rimuru just let his army go on a rampage, and if they die Rimuru can bring them back to life. Also let Delta fight Veldora, what could possible go wrong for Veldora? Veldora never was defeated in hand to hand combat, only was prisoned for 300 year. The only person who can beat a True Dragon is Rimuru, who also killed Ivarage, the Evil Dragon, who was unbeaten even by Veldanava. But let just stay in realism, if Cid and his Shadow Garden annoy Rimuru, he just use Azatoth God of Void and they are eraesed from existance.
