Well well well.. I think we all need to calm down and relize that Cid is using his primary mental defence mechanism called “Rejecting reality” when faced with a situation in which he is not superior Cid’s brain starts to panic and his entire complex, sanity and his very ideology begins to colapse leaving Cid in a state of shock in which he could possibly get killed. So he subconciously has a defence mechanism, not one but many, just like humans like you and me. These mechanisms are how we or in this case Cid deals with strong flows of emotions, like sadness, fear and despair. These mechanisms can go from simple humour ridiculing reality to a full blown superiority complex or even an entire new personality specificly made to handle that trauma. The mechanisms we obsereved in this video today are downplaying, ridiculing, false confidence and information falsing ! Now class for your homework : Find an example in the video and say it in the comments !
