You know I am crazy about commercial airliners. When I deplaned the 777-300er Cathay Pacific, I didn't have a window seat during flight and so I had to look out the window and the thing I noticed was the base area of the wing with the engine. MASSIVE!!! That area was huge. And noticing the parked A380s, 747s and 777s in the background as you were taking off their sizes were not too different looking even though the A380 was the largest. And with all of that fine wood trim, hardwood flooring, silver, chrome and gold, those tickets I don't think are cheap to say the least🙂🙂❤. Your flight reports are magnificent. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!

In answer to your question: Yes, indeed I have visited the Emirates Business Class lounge at the Dubai airport many, many times! It was great seeing these pictures again. But my main comment is - whenever I was there (usually between 7 and 8 AM), the lounge was very, very busy. The challenge is to find an empty chair to sit down at. Otherwise, it’s a great place. And even better, is the First Class lounge where the attentive Emirates staff will bring you a menu and then serve you your meal! 😋

Love your videos, they’re the best on any subject on KZbin. Every Saturday I make a cuppa, grab the biscuits, put my feet up and tune in to your latest offering - keep up the excellent work. I also love the Maldives, agree it’s the most beautiful destination on the planet, and have been several times. The last time I was on this flight EK658 (November 2018) I had the entire first class cabin to myself - can’t wait to board the flight again but will await your videos before deciding on resort, although Velaa is on my list.

I was on EMIRATES 777-300 Business Class 0660 last Friday from Dubai to Maldives after Emirates A380-800 Business Class from JFK to DXB. The 12 hours I spent on the A380 were easily better than the four hours I spent on the 777. I’m happy to do that entire trip again on my return this coming Friday. I have a five hour layover so I will definitely visit the Dubai emirates lounge for that time.

thanks doc for the video. if you are going swimming in Maldives beaches, be very careful of rip tides. unfortunately one of my friends lost his life (who was a very good swimmer BTW) by drowning in Maldives beach due to a rip tide.

Thank you for sharing this trip. The Emirates lounge there is really nice with the curved wall and window design! I laughed while you were walking around there and to see the smoking section upstairs and away from many of the other people. That is a surprise to see an indoor smoking spot!?? I am glad you stopped before going in there. No, I do not smoke! Period!! It was nice you had Business Class in that section! The top self items there at the bar section was cute. I saw that Bombay Sapphire Bottle!!! Very nice. I see you had a seat in the front section two row area of the old Business Classes. I have always loved seating in that part of the Business Class and that goes back to a few years ago from my former airline. At least passengers in this area were a sleep. That was nice to have some silence. I am glad you had your panel up there in your private seating! And I hope the other Business Class passenger next to you did not bother you!!! Well, be safe on your stay there and again thank you for sharing your flight.

Jeb, I like your idea of scoring as you clearly have the experience to make comparisons with many other airlines. Last year I used Swiss LHR-GRU via ZHR. Switzerland was in near total lockdown so the airport was nearly empty and only 1 lounge available which was comfortable but extremely limited food offering, normally this would be no big deal but I had a nearly 5 hour layover! The 2 flights were excellent, best short haul ever and the long haul left nothing to be desired. Would certainly recommend this airline.

just love the maldives, been 4 times but that place at the end looks amazing, can't see the beach though; We try and fly emirates as well, but not sure would pay for business class, only one meal; All i remember about emirates is that their food is excellent, but that was 20 years ago, but would like to go back one more time; thankyou for sharingx
