Always a mixture of B777 aircrafts + A380 aircrafts in our roster :) We get trained on both during our training in the Aviation College.

Hello! Thank you for this video. I want to be a flight attendant for Emirates and this channel is prefect for me. I have some questions: 1. How many years you must work to go to buissnes class? 2. Which langulages do you can to speak? 3. If you work in economy class, them can you buy a ticket only in economy or also buissnes or first? 4. If you are employee and you are going on holiday, do you absolutly have to fly with Emirates or can you fly with any other airline? Please, answer😊 ❤ You are so cute and fine. I love these questions! 1. I worked in economy for a little bit more than 4years because of covid, these days crew work in economy for about two years maybe a little less until they move up to Business Class. 2. I speak English fluently and then Afrikaans is my mother tongue. 3. You can only travel Business class on personal travel when you are a purser. But that’s only when your ticket is with EK, other airlines might be different. I was able to travel in Business because I was on a work trip and there was space to be upgraded. 4. You don’t have to no! So many Slovenians travel with a different airline because Emirates doen’t fly there. So in your first contract, your annual leave ticket can only be to the station that you originated from. I joined from Johannesburg airport so I could only fly there and back in my first contract. Now I can use my annual leave ticket to any other EK destination if I am traveling with Emirates. When you are using one of the staff tickets it can be with Emirates or the airlines that we are in partnership with. The staff tickets are the discounted ones. Hope these answers helped!

Just chat and be friendly with the others. It’s always fun to spend the day with people who you can chat with and go through this day. That’s how my best friend and I met. When you drop your cv off again, give some space between you and the table of the recruiter and don’t be afraid to say welcome to France! Is this your first time here? Be confident when speaking to the room during your assessment. Try practicing in the mirror or watching a video on how to talk to a room full of people and keep their attention. Speak clearly if you might have a strong french accent 😉 Hope this helps! Let me know how it went and good luck!

Ironically I received an email this morning with a precise date for my assessment, it will take place next Saturday in Paris so with good preparation and a bit of luck I should squeeze through the selection process. As for the strong French accent haha, I spent my formative years in England so I have a weird mix of the two, thankfully not the stereotypical silly French accent. Yes I figured socialising early in the day will be beneficial in the long run, even if I don't get hired it can still be a friend for life, as in your case for example. I'll keep you posted if I get positive news, out of curiosity (even though I'll find out for myself on the day) how balanced is the male / female ration in general? Safe travels!

@@monicam11 Actually no… we go back for training once a year, and I have had a situation where I confirmed that I keep a level head during an emergency situation. We are told to not be complacent and to expect anything to happen and to be ready for it. The flight deck will always be in constant communication with us incase we expect turbulence on all levels and when we need to secure ourselves. My wordt fear is that if something does happen and we need to evacuate that people will stop and take their things out of the hat racks not understanding the severity of the situation and that we only have 90seconds to evacuate.

@@cherylwong754 hello! Not particularly 😅 the only crew that want to do that flight are crew who are from there. You can’t extend a layover though. You need to operate the same flight with the same crew back to Dubai.

I promise that no one is going to ask you to lift up your shirt to show any scars. There are crew with tattoos on their legs, backs, shoulders, even I have a long scar on the side of my leg. It's all good :)

From my own pov, people who join and don't last usually don't know that we work hard on the flights and that it could be very overwhelming when you have certain flights. Some of them aren't used to being so far away from their family and go back home. Other people have been here a while, saved up and went onto other ventures. Other people don't like the lifestyle... there are so many different reasons. It is what you make it :)
