My favorite voice of the shoegaze edge reclaims the throne - love it ! She was always my favorite in Lush

In all honesty, Emma has given rebirith to the sound of Lush. Her work is EPIC. Miki did an outstanding job with her come back. "Everlastingly yours," by Piroshka is a great song. But the band has too much talent and experience to replicate a sound of the past. Emma, being solo, can control and produce that sureal, dream-pop, wave of music that Lush fans were waiting for. There is nothing to compare. Both ladies, I hope, have acomplished their goal. I purchased their music off Bandcamp. Much love from California.

If I knew my way around audio software better, what I'd love to do, as an experiment, is see if I could lift some Miki a capella vocals from the two Peroshoka albums, and see if they'd match with any of Emma's instrumental tracks here. BOOM - the Lush reunion album that never happened, in real life! I don't imagine that this would work as well, but also, if I could train an AI vocal replicator to sound like Miki, I could give her Emma's lyrics, and then place those here. Don't get me wrong - I'm tickled pink that Emma has been brave enough to let us hear what we suspected all along, that she actually has a great singing voice, and I wouldn't want to lose what she made here. But as an experiment, to create some new Lush music, I think this would be pretty interesting!

Sing-Sing, Emma’s band after Lush, is also great.

Emma proves it’s possible to still create interesting music in middle age. Unfortunately Miki was unable to prove that - her music really does sound like the dullness of retirement and impending old age.

This track transcends shoegaze in ways, and is from a more settled, thoughtful, contemporary view. That being said, a sense of mystery is still present. As an older fan, originally of Lush and shiegaze in general, I am glad Ms. Anderson wrote from her own angle and let her muse itself speak.

I was lucky enough to hang out with Emma and Miki decades ago after a show in Atlanta, and they couldn't have been sweeter to a starstruck fan. So happy to hear Emma making new music again!

I especially like how it builds to that nice "doot-doo" vocal hook at the end. It's that old, solid pop songwriting that isn't the norm anymore. Looking forward to hearing the rest.

Oh wow, Emma has returned and that cooing, angelic voice of hers is just resonating my head again. Her music combines melancholy and euphoria quite unlike anyone else and stops you in your tracks. Can't wait to hear more to follow..

Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi ought to reunite and make music again. I like their solo work, however, nothing compares to what their chemistry as lush.

Usually when people have split up it’s for a reason. They both are doing great things individually and probably don’t feel the need to chase nostalgia

They had ego problems, I think. The tragic death of Chris destroyed Lush.

I'm very disappointed with Emma. She had all of these great songs in the bank and that wonderful voice that she hid behind other lead singers , and she deprived us of this solo beauty till now. But I forgive her. More please.

Being a lead singer is a personality thing, and Emma never wanted it. That's why she hid behind Emma, and then Lisa.
