I have listened to this album for the first time today and found myself crying probably because it brought me back to when I was younger and a huge fan of Lush. How unbearably sad it is to get older. That aside Lush remain one of my favourite bands even today. Thank you Emma.

I am so happy that Emma Anderson is back with her music on her terms. I have been a fan of her songs since 1989/1990. A great writer and guitar player. We must all buy her album and make sure she knows that there are a lot of us who love her music from her time in Lush and Sing Sing. Please continue to make and release music!!!! This made my week.

2023. New albums from Blur, Boo Radleys, Dexys, slowdive, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, and members of Lush? Gen X is happy. :)

Well-done, it's good to see Emma Anderson again. Sounds very nice too -- familiar but also different. She also looks great.

Pre-ordered. I liked Sing-Sing a lot. It's a shame about the personalities clashing in that other band, but I'm glad Emma is making music again.

I discovered about this after hearing two recent songs that sounded incredibly like Lush while playing Fortnite. I was rushing in a (virtual) Pizza Pit car and stopped to listen so much I was amazed of hearing what sounded like Lush music I didn't know about. So I checked and learned about solo Emma Anderson. (The tracks were Mo Dotti - Loser Smile, and Taleen Kali - Only Lovers Left Alive, both great songs but totally copycats of Lush.)

I discovered the Pearlies album about a week ago. And I can't stop listening to it day and night. Listening to it is the last thing I do before getting to sleep. As I have been a fan of Lush since the 1990s I would like this album to be re-recorded in a second version played by the remaining members of Lush. Who should I ask for this favour? Emma Anderson? Miki Berenyi? The Universe? God? I do really need to listen to Pearlies album being played by Lush. My request sounds trivial and superficial but it is not. I really really want this.
@Babaziba Жыл бұрын
Great song, surprisingly low-key production though.
@CatS-mt7wq Жыл бұрын
Great tune but, sigh.... this would have been a MASSIVE Lush song with Berenyi on lead vox and Anderson doing harmonies. Too bad they couldn't get it together and record more tracks beyond that stella ep. They were a special band that just had the chemistry.
@sunshaped Жыл бұрын
I think it's fine as it is. Emma's voice is lighter and fresh. I think it's great to showcase her own talents. But..I do agree..that the chemistry in Lush is everything.
@mershark Жыл бұрын
You are SO wrong. The world has not been needing more Lush, it has been needing more Emma Anderson. I am stunned and overjoyed that she is again making music. This is a great start. If you want more Lush, then go buy the vinyl remasters of the three albums.
@f.w.2054 Жыл бұрын
Move on people!! Lush was a great band, but when Chris died, it was never the same. Emma is a great musician in her own right and this beautiful song proves it!
@Neurozumim Жыл бұрын
It's more a Damien Jurado vibe than a Lush vibe that's going on here in my opinion.
@andrewoverton51707 ай бұрын
It so wouldn't. Miki was great in Lush but this isn't Lush and Emma doesn't need anyone to 'improve' the song, her lead vocals are a revelation - probably only to her unbelieving self as her fans always knew there was so much more to Lush than Miki.

Reminiscent of that other band, but better, because the anti-man stuff is gone. Lovely!!
