Definitely my fave Emma album. Very bossanova, very 60’s. Very unique.

This era was just so perfect. I still can’t believe it wasn’t that successful as it really deserved. I think its hard to really appreciate it with just one listen, it’s like too much information, so I am sure Sal you will enjoy it more and more in the future. Each song has some extremely cute and nostalgic element, for example the backing vocals, add libs and trumpets or instruments on the background that make them magical. My faves…. Maybe, Tomorrow, Breathing, No Sign Of Life, You Are, Something So Beautiful, Don’t Tell Me You Love Me Anymore and So Long. Thank you for making this video ❤❤❤

So Long is an amazing song from this era. I can imagine this as a SG single, with Mel C and Mel B vocals. Sure hit.

Finally someone who appreciates Victoria's album... by faaaaaar the best solo debut of the girl. But i must say Emma's Free Me album may be the best of all the solo efforts. Side Note: Becky's shelved albums were great pieces of music as well

“Free Me” was a sweet surprise! I mean, it’s a cohesive album, all of the lyrics, production, pictures and performances match so well! It’s one of the best solo albums for sure!!

I'd love to watch you react to Emma's last 2 albums: Life in Mono is based on French 60's pop, it's more mature and has underrated gems on it. Her last album is mostly covers apart from 2 new songs she wrote which was released in 2019. Also, you should definitely listen to Geri's unreleased album Man on the Mountain. All the songs are on youtube. I think it's her best album ever, it's the most mature and really uses her voice more there. Her third album Passion has some underrated gems on it as well. You might like her second album more though as it has more cheeky, and upbeat songs on it. Also, I know you love musical theater - Mel C did a whole album of covers called "Stages." Most of the songs are songs from musicals like Cabaret, Chess, The King and I, Jesus Christ Superstar, and the song she covers from Chess is a duet with Emma! I think you'd love that song! Their voices blend so beautifully together. Plus, out of all of Mel C's albums, I think "Stages" pushes her vocal abilities to the MAX! It's her strongest album by far when it comes to vocals. Once you listen to her cover the song from the musical Company, you'll know what I mean. It's called Another Hundred People.

Apart from the first two singles and Crickets (which I enjoy the live performances) I think the non-singles sounds the same and hearing it gets kind of tiring. Honestly, I prefer the sound of the first album and I dare say this (and somebody will get mad at this) but I think Emma has the most generic voice out of the 5. The production of the songs are pretty safe and does not push her voice to the limit.

I've found your channel through your ranking of Kylie albums from 2 years ago, but I'll comment on that later. But I really wanted to watch and comment on this as my first time commenting on your channel. I really love this album and have fond memories of when it came out, because when it came out in early 2005, but I probably got an advanced copy in 2004, I came out for the first time, Happy Pride, YAY!!! So in the chaos of coming out and being free with myself, I got this album and it became the new release in 2005 that I played a lot and all the way through. Every time that I was off from work, I would go to Palm Springs and listen to it on my CD Walkman and just hang out and do some writing, I'm a songwriter. This album was just booming with amazing song ideas, some of them that would inspire my second album, Saturday Morning Around The Pool. I agree, You Are is my favorite song as well, and when I revamp/remake Saturday Morning, I'm planning on covering that song as well as Mischievous from her next album, Life In Mono (Can't wait for that reaction video). All the songs on this album are great, even I'll Be There, which please forgive me, is better than the Jackson 5 song, even though the most definitive I'll Be There song comes from 1965 by the band, Gerry And The Pacemakers. But I love this album, one of those where you can put on and never have the urge to change tracks, a total play-through. And as far as the B-Sides, So Nice (Summer Samba) is my favorite one, would have loved to have seen it on the album. Great video, looking forward in going back and watching your other ones. You got a new subscriber in me!!

Not a huge fan of this album, I pref Life in Mono. That’s more dramatic in instrument, lots of sweeping strings. This album reminds me of Burt Bacharach 60’s. It’s mellow and sweet, but it doesn’t go anywhere. Life in Mono feels bolder and like the improved 60’s sound. But I’m sure that’s a very unpopular opinion.
