This is a beautiful song and Emma put all her emotion in it. Floor really got touched to the core, because it is a heart piercing song. I seen Floor at one of her first solo shows in 2020, just before Covid kicked in and she sang this one. Broke at the end but managed to deliver it with massive emotions. Half the venue wiped some tears then.

There is a Dutch TV documentary called "The Reunion" (Dutch: "De Reunie") featuring Floor Jansen. She meets with old classmates from the Rock Academy, and the crew follows her around the 2015 Tampere concert. Her parents were also there. Quite emotional too. If you want to know more about Floor I recommend watching this.

And that is our little pop princess Emma, isn't she adorable? She won over millions of new fans during that season, and as you could see and hear.. she earned her new fans honestly, that label of "KZbin cover singers" was gone right away. I had never heard of her, like many others, but she quickly won me over with her personality and her beautiful voice, as did Rolf i might add, also did not know him and i absolutely adore him as well for the very same reasons i adore Emma, personality and vocal abilities. But now you've jumped into that "Beste Zangers" rabbit hole... you're going to find out that they all have impressive voices and personalities, it truly was a great season from all involved. on to the next one! ;)

Great reaction. There's several YT versions of Floor singing this song and not being able to finish thru her sobs. I understand she also has difficulty staying on course if she sees her parents when she sees them in the audience. The blessings/curses of empathy.

Definitely check out Emma's YT channel. At the time this was recorded, her YT channel only had cover songs on it. She would just sit on a stool and sing other peoples' songs on camera but she sings it SO WELL that she had THE BIGGEST YT Music channel in The Netherlands at the time, which is how and why she ended up on Beste Zangers for their thirteenth season. She's AMAZING. Her most-viewed video was her cover of Lady Gaga's song, which is why Floor sang that one to Emma when it was Emma's night on the couch. Emma didn't know that Floor even existed before this show and Floor didn't know that Emma existed. They really gained a lot of respect for each other during filming.

Emma Heesters (pronounced as the town Hastings, wich makes "Hasters"). And yeah, I can relate to both stories; Floor's mom suffering from rheumatism, Emma's mom suffering from cancer and my mom suffering from a worn-out spinal vertebrae. The doctors told her "we could do surgery but there's a 95% chance of you being paralized. In other words; "try to live with the pain" And that's what my mom chose to "living in pain". Luckily the doctors came up with another solution, which is not solid at all, but it's helping her a lot. Once every 6 months she's getting a injection of some sort wich subduces the pain. So as you can imagine, this song really is close to my heart. Thank you Debbie for this reaction❤

Hi Debbie, yes Beste Zangers show in 2019 was terrific. As Floor said, "Get the tissues!" All of those artists gave something special. "Strong emotion, strong devotion, to ignore the pain". Ouch. I can feel my heart pounding, Floor holding back the tears, for a few seconds. The height difference :) Emma is "just" a KZbin singer? This proved that she far more than that. You are obviously a special momma :)
