This is actually a big spoiler to me since I just finished season 2 but still there’s always the question “how did it/they happened?” making you want to watch more to find out. The reason why OUAT series is successful is that there’s always this back story that make you understand and connect to the current episode. You can start watching at any episode and still you will be fascinated! I hope they can create a spin-off series to this like Yellowstone and Supernatural.

you know how all of these stories have a twist... on the original tale? like for example.. peter pan was evil? and Captain hook learned how to be a hero... Or that the three queens of evil werent really evil.. just a bunch of VERY damaged women who lashed out and wound up doing evil things? Or how for the whole first half of this season we thought Emma was the dark one... but she was really trying to save hook? I'm wondering what the twist here is going to be..and if Hyde is actually the villain we think he is. Because I think out of all his characters.... as dark, broody and strange as they might be.. hes(sammy) only played a real "villian" with one character ( darth Maul) and you could even make a case that again this person is not truly a villian.. but a DEEPLY damaged individual wanting revenge... So im wondering.. whats the twist? what if Dr Jekyll is really the villain.. and Hyde truly only wants a place for the stories to play out? OUAT has done MUCH stranger things.

Minor corrections: Three of the Queens of Darkness were just women who had been damaged by life and turned to darkness for comfort: Regina, Maleficent, and Ursula. The fourth Queen of Darkness, Cruella, was always evil. "Where others dabble in evil, I plunge in." Emma _was_ the Dark One. She simply happened to be the first Dark One to fight back against the seduction of the darkness and hold onto the light that she still had.

She _was_ the Dark One. She wasn't pretending. She actually became the Dark One. Assuming otherwise is a grave misunderstanding of her character. She also happened to be the only Dark One to have fought with the darkness for control of herself and her power. _That_ is what makes her unique and drives her actions, not just her love for Killian.
