You can actually see in this clip two magical reactions - the pulse that comes with true loves kiss happens just before the white mist appears above Emma. Because the end result of TLK wasn't completely obvious to everyone (no curse that affects the whole town and restores their memory/no end to a sleeping curse) then it has gone by unnoticed. A lovely subtle touch there. :)

No, you're wrong, the curse is the curse Zelena placed on Hook. And the green before the white miss is that curse breaking. If Emma and Hook were meant to be and that was TLK, then she wouldn't have lost her powers and still would've broke the curse without losing magic.

jackytwilightfan But there's never been a curse put on someone where the action of TLK causes it - this is unknown territory.Because TLK happened first chronologically then unless they kiss again it won't be broken. You can't break a curse that hasn't actually been activated yet. However this is just my opinion so I, like you, may very well be wrong. I don't write this show.

ellastar If you're going to get 'technical' with details the curse was activated ... shiny green light looks active enough to me! Would be adorable if it were true but I don't think mouth to mouth resuscitation counts as a kiss much less TLK. Even when Snowing did it they made it pretty obvious that Snow 'gave up' on resuscitating poor David and just kissed him. Fear not, I think it's still coming for them *crosses fingers*

Misty Heagney Well, the way I see it, it looks more like the beginnings of True Love. That is definitely the TLK pulse but in a very small form. Someone on Tumblr actually had a good way of putting it, but that was WAY back in the Captain Swan tag and my internet is being fussy at the moment. XD; So pardon me if I'm not being entirely clear. I like the subtle references to what stage they're at in their relationship. It's like Emma and Killian get to decide who they are to each other and what they're relationship is. They can create their own magic without going 'Hey, TLK works with you, WE'RE TRUE LOVE COOL!'

i think the one thing that bugged me about this entire series of scenes was that she accused him of manipulating her into coming back to Storybrooke... all he did was find her and convince her to drink the potion to restore her memories (which took quite a while) he never forced her to go back.. she had the choice of staying in New York with Henry or going back and she chose to go back..

+Ella Shearer It's not (sadly!) because Zelena had cursed Killian's lips before this to take away her magic, and when she tried to drown Killian, she gave Emma the option of kissing him and saving him (which is why he freaked out at the end because she lost her powers to the kiss) or him dying. As much as I'd love it to be TLK too, it's not :(

Re-watching this again, I wonder if the only way Hook could have been saved was by a kiss. Zelena basically said, "You could keep your magic which makes you oh so sad.... or you could save the man you can't wait to run away from." Either keep your magic or save Hook. So I'm pretty sure Zelena drowned Hook enough that only a kiss from his true love could save him. Remember Zelena could only cast the curse on him after he declared that he was in love with Emma. It was the only way Zelena could make sure that Emma kissed him.
