This is, in my opinion, an underrated Emma adaptation, probably because it's a TV adaptation and not a movie. Romola Garai is my favourite Emma and in this series she really captures the essence of Austen's Emma and shines in the role. Anya Taylor-Joy and Gwenyth are both good actors but they tend to over perform. Romola and Johnny make perfect sense here. Jeremy Northam remains my favourite Knightley but Johnny Lee Miller is excellent here. Thank you for the video.

I think Jeremy Northam (1996) was a very good Mr. Knightley. Lovely, atractive and I did enjoy the way he played the character - mingling his tutorish old ways towards her with the feeling that she was the woman he desired to be with. So, I liked him better than this Mr. Knightley.
