Emma is such a great tennis player but what I’m starting to notice is her balls are pretty textbook and she is really good at giving people balls with pace in their strike zone match after match. Feels like she has a good chance of winning but actually the balls she gives people demolish a good pace back she hits them time after time. Her balls have little variety and she is a bit predictable

Her forehand is so powerful and so much spin!! Rare to see from WTA players - she was just blasting winners all match and navarrro really looked quite uninspired today. If Liudmila played like this all the time, she could easily become top 10 player. I like her temperament doesn't get too frustrated but also, she doesnt get pumped up enough either - would love to see more passion, but maybe she is just a introvert chill personality, so thats fine too 😊

The play by play commentator soooo wanted samsonova to lose, he clearly rooted for Navarro, saying thing like Navarro would start dialing in and samsonova wouldn’t last during long rallies etc, but if anyone knows and watches tennis, samsonova can overpower and out-think the likes of a Navarro, who is overhyped by the media. Granted Navarro gets a lot of balls back and will out-rally opponents, but samsonova imposed her game on Navarro in the end.
