Emma's Medicine: Potency Test

Tested on the gourd and pellets, holding two prayer necklaces (i.e. 12 vitality) and one mini-boss gourd upgrade.
When the skill is unlocked, the gourd heals for 4.8% more of your total health and the pellet heals for 2.4% more of your total health.
It's definitely not worth 4 skill points in the early game.

You should try using your eyes instead of your toes to see. I made the same mistake on my first playthrough.

What’s the math on the 2nd level that you unlock in addition to the two levels you get from mini bosses? It felt like a significant increase, but maybe it was just a placebo.

I forgot about the bonus from the mini-bosses! I've only got one gourd upgrade, which was from the Chained Ogre mini-boss. I haven't unlocked the second Emma's Medicine node as I don't believe it is worth spending 9 skill points when there are much better skills to be acquired in the early game. I'll revisit this later in the game.

Freke Out sure thing man! Definitely don’t feel rushed with the 9 level upgrade, that’s a big investment so early for a relatively trivial upgrade. Would highly recommend picking up the ichimonji combat art and Mikiri counter when you can, they’re very nice skills to have.
