@@Kervixon Sorry to be that guy, but Fromsoft has always had a keen attention to these sorts of details with Japanese inspired characters. Ever played Sekiro? Train any type of martial arts from Japan? Then you would know. If you don't know, no need to reply! Be cool fam!

For a while I honestly thought it was the Archdruid's unique theme, so to me it weirdly is more associated with a DS3 mod than Demon's Souls

Archdruid Caimar was such a good fight. Love the use of this theme for the fight. It fits him very well!

The hype is he was one of DS2s best bosses with no cheap tricks or gimmicks just a 1v1 That and him just sitting there waiting for you was badass and him having a alternative death animation where he commits seppuku in shame if you beat him without taking any damage There's reasons to remember him fondly

How is he not interesting gameplaywise, he's the fastest guy in DS2, got a badass blood buff, a sword beam, big jumps, a gorgeous arena, and awesome music.

@@tomasstargamer6308 because DS2 bosses are not interesting in the slightest. They’re super slow because they made the player super slow, and it just benefits pvp balance more than anything else.

@@tomasstargamer6308 yeah but you fight faster in DS1. Compare my Manus video aggressiveness to my Alonne video. Worlds of difference. DS2 is the only Souls game where you can’t roll quickly after your attacks so you’re forced to return to an idle state after attacks to prepare to roll. Why is DS1 even relevant to this lol they both have lame bossing. Manus and Artorias are the only exceptions in DS1. Fume Knight and Alonne are similar to Artorias but a lot less fluid. Their attacks don’t flow well at all and are very robotic.

while i love this version, it would make more sense as a final boss theme, for a tragic or betrayed foe. Might have been more fitting if you knew the characters beforehand and had to kill them later.

I disagree fully. This fits very well as a theme for a dramatic moment in the game's story, a moment where the demon in front of you isn't a monster, isn't an evil or manipulative person, but is just a holy woman guarded by a faithful knight. This theme has a motif of creeping dread that the original had none of. It's not a dread that you fear, though. The dread is the player character. From Vinland's perspective, you are a random interloper who seeks to kill Astraea to steal her power. And that's exactly what you are. She is innocent, you are there to commit an act that can only be described as murder regardless of its necessity for reaching the ending, and her knight stands defiantly in opposition to this prolific slayer of demons. You have killed many grand beasts and things revered as deities before now, and these two are just people, and they stand in defiance anyway. It's a dramatic moment that I think rightfully deserves heavy, dramatic music!
